บท 231: Harbinger of death

Back at the inn, Doom stood up from the bed with her hands balled into angry fists. She didn't know why she had suddenly passed out and had blood dripping down her nose. Her mind was too clouded with what had happened between her and Kael that she wasn't taking note of the changes in her body.

"Master, are you okay?" the shapeshifter asked, her eyes void of emotions, but there was a hint of worry in them.

Doom nodded, crossing her legs, allowing her dress to pull up to her thighs. "I need to meet with Kael," she replied.

"You can't! He is toying with you, and you know it. You were lucky not to have died the last time. You can't—" the shapeshifter's voice got stuck in her throat when she felt something tighten around her neck.
