On the way to the city, James asked Little Lion why he had asked for help. It was only after listening to Little Lion that James realized it wasn't Little Lion who had asked for help, but Ye Han, who had anxiously told Little Lion to ask James for help.
Ye Hand hadn't explained why he was so desperate because he wasn't sure if Little Lion could fully understand what he was trying to say.
Even though Ye Han noticed that Little Lion was trying to communicate with him, he didn't understand what the lion was up to, as he wasn't Little Lion's master. So, Ye Han simply told Little Lion to inform James that he needed help.
After hearing Little Lion's explanation, James instructed him to take Ye Han and the others to the front gate of the city and wait there, as he was rushing there as fast as he could.
After around an hour and a half, James instructed the wind crane to slow down as he had detected Little Lion and the others from his scan function.
James then had the wind crane land on the ground before putting it in the beast space and began running towards the city.
As Little Lion sensed James getting closer, he became excited and tugged at Ye Han's robe, signaling that James had almost arrived.
Ye Han immediately couldn't help but become nervous and clenched his fists as he looked in the direction Little Lion pointed at.
When Ye Han saw James run towards the city gate, he immediately became excited and ran to meet James.
Seeing the impatience and anxiety on Ye Han's face, James was puzzled as to why he was so distressed.
"Young master James, please save our town from the beast tide." Ye Han pleaded, kneeling on the ground.
"I don't know where else to ask for reinforcements, as Mortos City still hasn't sent any help, even though I requested emergency assistance hours ago. I had no choice but to ask for your help. Please, help our town."
"Please stand up first and tell me what's happening with the Beast Tide." James helped Ye Han stand up, as he felt bad that someone was begging him desperately to the point of kneeling on the ground.
"Can I explain on the way? I've already wasted too much time waiting for reinforcements that never came." Ye Han replied impatiently.
"All right." James agreed, immediately calling Little Lion over.
"Let's go." James led the way, running towards Hovestad Town, followed by Ye Han and the two siblings, who were riding on Little Lion's back.
After running for a few kilometers, James suddenly stopped and summoned the wind crane. He then told Ye Han to ride on it as he jumped on Little Lion's back.
"Let's ride my pets to get there faster." James suggested.
"Okay." Ye Han agreed, jumping onto the wind crane's back.
'Go reveal your true body!' James instructed telepathically while petting Little Lion.
Feeling excited, Little Lion roared loudly as his body quickly expanded until he stood four meters tall.
"Roar!"
"Wow! The big lion just got even bigger." Ye Ling'er exclaimed while hugging the huge body with her arms and legs spread wide.
"Hold on tight." James said, then ordered Little Lion to run at full speed, with the wind crane following closely behind.
When Ye Wudi heard James's warning, he immediately reacted by hugging Ye Ling'er and Little Lion's bodies tightly.
"Wow, it's so fast that I can't see anything, and it only makes me dizzy when I open my eyes." Ye Ling'er rolled her eyes as she opened and closed them a few times.
"Both of you, just keep your eyes closed so you won't feel dizzy. Don't worry, it won't take long." James reminded the siblings.
On the way to Hovestad town, James asked Ye Han for details, and after listening to Ye Han's explanation, he basically understood the entire situation.
A few hours ago, around midnight, when Ye Han was stabilizing his cultivation realm as he had just broken through to Low Rank 4, he heard the distress signal indicating a beast tide was attacking the town.
Ye Han then immediately went to the town gate to see the situation, and only after he arrived did he know the situation was dire.
Because the town chief had sensed that there was a Platinum Rank Beast among the beast tide, he decided to send someone to Mortos City to request reinforcement.
When Ye Han heard that, he decided to volunteer to go to Mortos City to request reinforcements because he remembered that James was in the city with his children and he could ask James for help in case the city didn't send any reinforcements, which did happen.
This wasn't the first time something like this had happened, as Mortos City didn't always send help when Hovestad Town requested it.
However, when Ye Han reached the city lord's mansion, he was stopped by the guard, even after he explained that he needed reinforcements for Hovestad Town due to the dire situation.
The guard merely said that he would relay the message to the person in charge and told Ye Han to go back.
Ye Han refused to leave, knowing the situation was critical, and stubbornly stayed in front of the city lord's mansion, even kneeling on the ground and begging for hours.
Despite hours of begging for help, he still received no response from the guard. He then made one last request for reinforcements before going to the inn to find his children and James.
However, when he arrived at the inn, Ye Han was confused to find only his children with Little Lion.
After asking his son, Ye Han learned that James had gone to Nagabourne City. So, Ye Han desperately told Little Lion to seek James's help.
