After a few minutes of weirdly celebrating and freaking out with Lucian's new ability to summon and control ice, the group returned to the room where Lucian and the other mutated beasts were being held and kept… only to find the doctor bleeding from all of his orifices.

"He's missing a tooth," Hawk examined the body in the cage, "Most probably poison to keep himself from being interrogated and tortured."

"Poison, huh?" Lucian, who was rested on Rosa's shoulder, could not help but just squint his eyes as he stared at the doctor's corpse, "But he was ready to spill everything before you guys arrived. Very suspicious."

"...Do you think someone killed him while we were busy?" Hawk quickly looked around the room, "But… I didn't see anyone at all."

"Probably snuck out with one of the people you took outside," Lucian let out a small but deep sigh before just shrugging and leaping from Rosa's shoulder.
