Hearing Linsley's question, the system responded:

Linsley wasn't slow to catch on and quickly understood what the system meant.

Shaking his head, he rubbed his forehead and asked, "If I'm not mistaken, the partial descent of the Outer God not only killed me but also destroyed the Diviner World?"

The system replied:

[After the host died, Lucy, who holds the artifact that displays the host's life status, saw it shatter, indicating the host's death.]

[Lucy was in an extreme state of negative emotion—especially grief for the host's death and hatred for the one responsible. But the Outer God perceived Lucy's hatred and, to avoid trouble, killed her as well.]
