He'dtaalh fought to hold back the growl that threatened to come out of the depths of his soul. Fighting to clear his mind from the thoughts racing through them, he took in a deep breath.
"You'll have to forgive him," murmured the Priest softly, holding out one of his lower hands to stop the clergyman from speaking. "He knows not what he says."
Suddenly, everything inside of He'dtaalh wanted to nod in agreement with the Priest, willing to forgive the male in white anything. However, He'dtaalh fought back control of his body that the Priest was trying to strip him of.
This was the first time he had ever been in the presence of the Shihneanians, and for the first time ever, he felt genuine fear. This single male had so much control over others just by using his voice.
