I had a dream.
I don't know why I dreamed it; I hadn't had nightmares for a few days since being rescued from the General's kingdom, but this one was bad.
I was running through the forest, but it wasn't one that I had ever seen before. The trees were a reddish-black color, without even a hint of green. Branches stuck out at odd angles, trying to trip me up or knock me down. Looking up, I could see that there were three suns in the sky, but their colors were a deep, blood-red color.
Even the sky seemed to glow red in the sunset, bathing the entire area around me in what looked like blood. I could hardly see in front of me as I raced forward. I had no idea where I was going, only that I was running from something.
Hey All!
With every novel, I try to find a song on my playlist that speaks to me. Normally, the song tends to coinside with the feeling of the book, and it seriously helps me write.
For this novel, I have been listening to Wild Flower and Wildhorses my Lainey Wilson on repeat. To me, this song is Ariel through and through.
(And yes, I do know it's a country song... but I listen to everything. Heavy metal and Cinderella's Dead got me through Charm)
