I think there can be a love triangle potential in this, but I still think Ronan has more chances than the king because around the king the fl have to be wearing a mask all the time.
The pace is not slow, something interesting happens in every chapter, but I think you should focus more on these interesting things, they passes in blink of eye .

Well, we knew where we were going, but it seemed slightly fast-paced, we expected many things, but before anything happened story moved forward.
