บท 31: Chapter 31 Bewitched

"What's wrong? Trying to dodge the bill?"

"Of course not," Blanche replied.

But how on earth did she end up owing Allen millions of dollars? How could she ever pay that back…

"So, don't try to negotiate with me; you owe me a lot," Allen said with a smile that was anything but sincere.

Blanche cursed Allen in her mind, thinking he was a heartless businessman who only knew how to bleed people dry.

"What do you want me to do to repay you?" Blanche compromised, realizing that she was indeed in the wrong; Allen had saved her this time.

"Very simple: you accompany me to a gala, and I'll consider it half repaid."

A gala? Blanche was puzzled. Allen didn't lack for female companions and didn't need to socialize. Why was he inviting her to be his date for the event…?

"What kind of gala?" Just to be safe, Blanche decided she needed to ask for clarification.

"A pretty good one," Allen replied.
