<p>I probably shouldn't make assumptions about other people's relationships, God knows the public did enough of that with mine, but as I find myself staring at Elijah and Ella, my mind can't help but taunt me about how they look like a real couple.</p>
<p>I don't remember the last time Ella and I were out like this. There are so few photos of us together which, looking back, should have been one of the signs of a failing marriage.</p>
<p>The signs were there, that things weren't perfect or quite right, but I ignored them.</p>
<p>"The Gala has just been perfect, Mrs. Elizabeth. Your chefs certainly are world class. Ella had to pull me away from eating all the shrimp puffs," Elijah jokes.</p>
<p>"To be fair, I only did so because we had to try those little apple tarts," she says teasingly. "We've been having such a good time Mrs. Elizabeth, I'm so glad that I could finally make it this year."</p>
