Mere fighting spirit cannot determine the outcome of war; it is the combination of fighting spirit and logistical support that are the necessary and sufficient conditions for sustaining a war.
Later generations hear stories about the use of millet and rifles to beat modernized Royal Forces and find it absurd, hilarious, and discomforting. They deem it inconsistent with reality, merely a myth.
That's because they only see how formidable the Royal Forces' maritime transport capabilities were, completely overlooking how miraculous the logistics of the "toads" were at that time.
Looking even further back to the Three Major Battles or even the period of the war of resistance, the "toads'" counter-wind operations were T0 level.
But they kept a low profile and didn't brag.
