Cora didn't miss hers, and the game ended with her topping three in the basket. With a laugh, her team rejoiced with her at their victory over the other. Cora bounced the striped, red ball as she headed out of the indoor courts. Outside, the fierce glow of the sun was just beginning to wane.

A cold evening approached.

"Yo, Israfel?" Rafel was stopped from following Cora out the basketball courts by a boy's bawdy voice. Rafel paused in his white kicks to let the boy continue, "—I'm having a party on Saturday, which is tomorrow I guess. It's gonna be lit! You should come. The girls are sure to be wild. It's the duplex just off Copenhagen Hall, by that fancy spinazolla restaúrant."

He passed Rafel a flyer, jogging ahead.

"See you there, Red!"

Rafel waved him off, smiling softly.
