บท 348: Run Away

Alexander nervously gulped, his mind racing. Did she already find out about the mess Carla had caused? Rain looked so sad and disheartened that he found himself at a loss for words, unsure how to approach her.

"I'm sorry about what happened today," he finally muttered, his voice low. "I'll make sure to contain and clean it all up. I understand if you're mad… I'll sleep in the other room tonight."

He turned to leave, but her sudden question made him pause.

"What are you talking about?" she asked.

Alexander stopped and turned back to her, studying her expression. She motioned for him to sit beside her. "Come here. What do you mean?"

He hesitated before sitting on the edge of the bed. "You seemed upset. I thought it was because of the incident with Carla," he explained. "The contract we had before got leaked, and now the employees are gossiping about it. I was planning to tell you."
