Teeth flew in all directions!
Ignoring the groaning Bass on the ground, Sharlo picked up the bloody gold tooth. He was in desperate need of money—very, very desperate.
Bass clutched his bleeding mouth, looking at Sharlo's actions with a pained expression.
After thoroughly looting the men, Sharlo kicked Bass, sending him flying to join his cronies.
"Get lost! Don't let me see you again!" Sharlo's voice made the surrounding crowd back away in fear. Even Bass's henchmen quickly picked him up and fled.
Watching them retreat, Sharlo couldn't help but laugh heartily. "Hahaha!"
Feeling a bit more relaxed after a year of solitude in the mountains, Sharlo returned to his stall, organized the furs, and waited for buyers. Fortunately, several people appreciated the furs, and he sold the most valuable ones, earning 400,000 Beli.
With the remaining furs being less valuable, Sharlo decided to wrap up for the day and buy some necessities. He packed up and headed to the blacksmith's shop.
"Boss! I need some iron tools made!" Sharlo called into the shop.
"Coming, coming! What do you need, sir?" A burly man emerged, holding a large hammer.
"Here, follow these designs. When can you have them ready?" Sharlo handed over his pre-drawn blueprints.
The blacksmith examined the plans and frowned. The items were unusual, not the typical farm tools or weapons he usually crafted.
"These are a bit tricky, and I'm low on materials. It might take a month," the blacksmith said.
"A month? That's too long!" Sharlo frowned.
"Alright, just make these items first. I'll find other shops for the rest," Sharlo replied, not willing to wait more than a week.
"Deal!" the blacksmith agreed without argument. Sharlo paid a deposit and headed to the next blacksmith.
There were three shops in town, and Sharlo split the work among them, ensuring everything would be ready in a week.
After placing his orders, Sharlo returned to his dilapidated hut, which had fallen into disrepair over the year. It wasn't ideal, but it was better than living in the mountains.
As Sharlo slept soundly, Bass and his bruised henchmen plotted revenge in a not-so-luxurious but large house.
"What do we do now, boss? We've lost face. If we don't teach that kid a lesson, the Wolf Gang will be a joke!" a henchman urged.
"That brat is dead! Even God can't save him now!" Bass, his face twisted with anger, growled, his teeth still hurting.
"Did you find out who he is?" Bass asked.
"He's an orphan, lives in a hut on the west side of town. Everyone knows him; it wasn't hard to find out," a henchman replied.
Bass retrieved a finely crafted pistol from a drawer. "Tonight, I'll kill him. Let's go!"
Bass led his men to the rundown hut. Seeing Sharlo sleeping through the gaps in the walls, Bass smiled wickedly. "This is too easy."
From twenty meters away, Bass aimed his gun at Sharlo and fired without hesitation.
Sharlo's instincts kicked in, making him jerk his head to the side just in time. The bullet grazed his scalp, waking him in a cold sweat.
"Who's there?" Sharlo yelled, rushing out to see Bass and his men. Realizing what had happened, Sharlo's anger flared.
"Bastard! I spared your life, and you come to kill me at night? You're dead!" Sharlo roared, charging at Bass.
With a powerful punch, Sharlo's hand went through Bass's chest, killing him instantly. The henchmen were terrified, but Sharlo swiftly knocked them down, dragging two of them back.
As he touched them, he inexplicably sensed their thoughts.
"He's gonna kill me! My poor lovers..."
"Damn it! Let go! I'll kill you!"
Seeing the one still struggling to kill him, Sharlo crushed his chest with a stomp, ending his life. The other henchmen trembled in fear.
"Don't kill me! Don't kill me!" one begged.
Realizing he could somehow read their thoughts, Sharlo decided to use this to his advantage.
"You guys are from the Wolf Gang. Tell me where your boss keeps his treasure!" Sharlo demanded.
The henchmen exchanged nervous glances. One, with a bandaged head, raised his hand.
"Okay, speak," Sharlo commanded.
"The boss's wealth is in a safe at his estate. You can take it anytime!" the henchman replied.
Sharlo grabbed his hand, staring into his eyes. "Is that true?"
