"Misled again?"
Cynthia couldn't help but doubt that Red was in Mimosa City. It was also possible that he deliberately leaked his whereabouts to divert their attention here, while he escaped unnoticed!
This kind of trick was exactly what the other party would do!
What made Cynthia suspicious was that she and Officer Jenny had searched every corner of Mimosa City without any findings. After inquiries, no one had seen any suspicious individuals!

Ash pointed to a distant road. Mimosa City was on the mountain, surrounded by rivers on three sides, with only one road in and out. Somehow, they had taken one of the three isolated paths.

At this moment, a cheerful voice came from above. The trio looked up to see a graceful lady sitting in a hot air balloon waving at them, with a restless Chimchar jumping around in the balloon.
The three were overjoyed, especially Brock, who wished he could grow wings and fly to the balloon right away.

"My name is Alice. I can give you a ride."
Alice invited the trio onto the hot air balloon.

Alice explained.

Alice replied.
The hot air balloon drifted towards Mimosa City and soon floated above the Tower of Time and Space. Alice introduced it to the trio, "This tower was designed a hundred years ago by the architect Gaudí and is the most famous building here."
A sudden gust of wind blew in, shaking the entire hot air balloon. The faces of everyone onboard changed drastically. The wind came quickly and left just as fast. Before they could steady themselves, the wind was gone, and the hot air balloon stabilized again.
"Sorry, I don't know why, but lately there's been this strange wind. It's not a problem with the air currents. As an apology for startling you, I'll be your guide and show you around Mimosa Town," Alice said apologetically.
"Great! Thank you, Miss Alice. It's so lively down there; the Mimosa Town Contest attracts a lot of people! There are way more Trainers here than at other Contests," Ash exclaimed, looking down at the bustling Mimosa Town.
Alice smiled and said, "It's not just because of the Contest! Our Sinnoh region Champion, Cynthia, is also in Mimosa Town. And these Trainers aren't all here for the Contest; many are here to catch a criminal!"
"A criminal?"
The trio was puzzled.
"It seems you don't know yet. Miss Cynthia came here because of this fugitive. Unfortunately, it seems he isn't in Mimosa Town!"
Alice explained the situation to Ash and his friends.
Mimosa Town, with its beautiful scenery and unique cultural features, is a valuable tourist spot. Especially with the upcoming Contest and the commotion caused by Lin Jiu, even more people have come to visit.
The streets and alleys were crowded with people, the shouts of vendors echoed constantly, and there were Pokémon battles everywhere. It was bustling, and Ash and his friends couldn't take their eyes off the scene.
After walking for a while, Alice led Ash and his friends to a beautiful courtyard and said, "This was also designed by Gaudí, themed around the harmonious coexistence of humans, Pokémon, and nature."
The design around them was ingenious, highlighting the beauty of nature. Pokémon played freely in the courtyard, and as the golden sunlight shone on them, a sense of harmony between creatures and nature naturally arose. While the Pokémon were happily playing, a green-and-white Gallade agilely jumped out from the bushes, quickly landing in front of Alice.

While Baron Alberto was making hostile remarks about Darkrai regarding these damage marks, the bespectacled researcher Tonio hurriedly came with a computer in his hands.
"Alice, Mimosa Town is very dangerous lately. You should leave as soon as possible!"
"It must be Darkrai. All these recent incidents must have been caused by Darkrai. I will catch Darkrai!"
Baron Alberto said angrily as he left.

The small town, paved with marble tiles, was brightly decorated. People gathered in the square, dancing, playing drums and accordions, and holding celebrations. A few girls spun past the poorly disguised Lin Jiu, who was wearing a hat and large-frame glasses, and dressed in outdated clothes.

Turning a corner, Lin Jiu caught a glimpse of a young boy in a blue vest on the marble square's battlefield, commanding energetically, "Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"
Pikachu leaped forward as a white flash, then jumped high, emitting dazzling electric light. The opposing Empoleon was enveloped in the electric light and immediately lost its ability to fight.
"Pika?"
After high-fiving Ash with its tail, Pikachu's ears twitched and it looked curiously in a direction. That was where Lin Jiu had quietly left. Ash's Pikachu had a particularly keen sense for unusual situations!
"What's wrong, Pikachu?"
Ash asked.
"Pika, pika!"
Pikachu shook its head and jumped onto Ash's shoulder.
