บท 3: Chapter 3 - Meeting the Helion Pack pt 1
My 3 guards lay motionless, sprawled on the floor infront of 4 teenagers, a few looked about my age, one boy and three girls.
"Huh! Your betas weren't shit, they went down easy." The boy infront leading the 3 girls that stood beside him said arrogantly, "Oh? Did you really think those 3 guards in front of you are my betas?" I asked with an amusing smirk.
"Is he your beta by chance Ms. Ayame?" I turned to look at the beauty who was sitted in front of me with a look of surprise and anger on her face.
"Yes, he's my brother." She said through clenched teeth, "*Sigh* That explains the rudeness." I said and shook my head disappointedly, "Hey, don't compare us, he's nothing more than a boy." She countered with annoyance evident in her voice,
"And you as his older sister and alpha were supposed to teach him our ways, and those standing beside him? Yours as well I presume?" I asked and gestured to the 4 beautiful girls that were beside her brother looking uncomfortable from how Raika was glaring at them.
" Yes, they need to learn a few things it would seem." Raika said with a cold tone, "Hey hold up sis, did that guy just say that these three weren't betas?" Raika's brother interrupted us again.
"KEEP QUIET YOU FOOL, YOU'VE JUST BARGED IN AND DISRESPECTED AN ALPHA WHO IS NOT AT ODDS WITH US, SO SHUT UP!!" Raika shouted and her eyes glowed red causing her betas to flinch and look down at the floor.
"*Sigh* To answer your question boy, those 3 are humans, use your nose and sniff them, or feel the presence of the beings in this room." I said calmly and looked over at them.
Raika's betas sniffed the air and realization dawned on their faces as they confirmed my guards were human, they looked up at myself and Raika with confusion on their faces, and before they could talk or ask anything a blur flashed past them knocking them down onto their asses and backs.
"Sorry I'm late boss." Donny said and stood in front of the 5 teens looking down at them, Raika tried to stand up fast but my hand flew out and held her left wrist, and something happened, Fire burst out from both her wrist and my hand, startling both of us, I retracted my hand and Raika took a step back with a shocked look on her face.
"What was that?" A girl with medium long black hair asked as she stood up from the floor, she was one of Raika's betas, she looked Japanese, "That.. did you feel that?" Raika asked me as she held her left wrist in her right-hand.
"You ok boss?" Donny asked with concern, he kept his eyes trained on Raika's betas at all times, but slightly turned to look at me.
" That was.... unexpected. We'll discuss this at a later time, may I know where your staying Ms. Ayame, maybe we can finish our 'fascinating' conversation later?" I asked and stood up looking at Raika,
after I touched her wrist, a jolt went through my entire body, my hellhound side seemed to react to her, at first I thought I had accidentally burned her, but seeing as she was fine.
Maybe there was something more to the girl than her beauty and arrogance, "Y-yes, I'll send the address to your advisor later." She replied abit flustered, she seemed abit distracted.
"Ok than, I'll meet you tonight, now if you'll excuse me, I have a few things to do today. Come along Donny, ah! Mr. Fisher would you kindly call for an ambulance to come take my men to get them checked out, they seem to have been hit hard" I gave out instructions as I walked to the door, and looked at the hotel manager who had come with a few hotel security guards.
"Yes Mr. Langston I have already taken the liberty to call them, they are 5 minutes away." He replied with a nod and a small smile. "Wait, what do you mean? I thought you came to throw us out?" Raika asked,
"Oh did I forget to mention that I own this hotel? Must have slipped my mind. Hehe anyways Ta ta for now." I replied with a smile at Raika and her betas and walked towards the elevators with Donny walking beside me,
leaving behind Raika and her dumbstruck pack with looks of surprise and shock ont their faces, we were the same age group, but the difference between us was night and day.

(RAIKA POV)
"What the hell were you thinking barging in like that? If it was a hostile pack, and you openly challenged his authority like that by walking in unannounced he would have killed all of you to set an example, Werewolf traditions are in place for a reason, to keep peace between different packs!" I yelled at my brother and friends,
We were in a luxury limousine heading to our family home outside the city, i was so angry right now, if Lucas Langston was a neutral or hostile alpha and this had happened it would have been a death sentence for us, but luckily he was an open minded and fairly young one, who didn't hold a grudge, and understood that my betas were young.
And by some miracle his entire pack wasn't with him today, I shudder to think what would have happened to Lochlan and the rest of my pack if they were there, they probably would have broken a few of Lochlan's bones,
my brother, even though born into a prominent werewolf-kitsune family and knows of our traditions, still acts like a pompous uneducated bitten shapeshifter.
"I'm sorry Raika, you were taking so long, and I thought something might have happened to you so I rushed in, the others were just trying to stop me but got involved when that guys guards got aggressive" Lochlan said trying to explain his actions.
"QUIET! *Grrr* Aunt Kaia will choose your punishment, and as for the rest of you, Leslie, you have no excuse, you could have knocked Lochlan out or tied him up, but you didn't, and now any respect that young alpha had for me is all but gone thanks to your recklessness." I growled out to my cousin who was sitting infront drinking apple juice from a glass.
"Ai, sorry Rai, I'll beat him up next time." She said and smiled at me, "Oh by the way, those two were very hot don't you think?" Evelyn, my plump lipped blonde best friend and beta said with an elbow to my side, she sat to my right, next to me.
"They sure we're, did you guys see how his beta moved, the one named Donny, he was so fast I barely saw him, is he an alpha too?" Hailey my childhood friend asked, her curly blonde her streaks bouncing.
"No he was a beta, but he was unusually very fast for a beta, perhaps his a variant werewolf, there are so many different sub species of our kind and mutations it's hard to know for sure." Leslie clarified for everyone.
"He is probably a Mutated beta, we'll know for sure when they come to Joshua estate, did you let Aunt Kaia that they're coming tonight?" I asked and looked at Leslie.
"Yes, she seemed quite excited, she already thinks you and that Lucas guy are gonna get married, by the way, what was up with that flame you unleashed on his hand?" Leslie asked with a look of curiousity on her face.
" Yeah tell us, you were blushing so much your ears turned red" Lochlan added with a chuckle to which I knocked his head, "Who was blushing?! I wasn't blushing, i-I just... nothing ok, it was nothing" I flustered out, and felt my face heat up.
To be perfectly honest, I have no idea what that was, but when he held my wrist, I felt my fox stirring excitedly, and it kind of affected me as well, I felt... warm.. complete, it was a very complicated feeling to have.
"So what did you think of him?" Hailey asked with a grin, "He was an ass." I said dryly but inside I was giddie, Lucas Langston was very handsome, he left me speechless for a second when I saw him, and I could tell I had the same effect on him, throughout our impromptu brunch he kept stealing glances at me when he thought wasn't looking.
It made my heart flutter when we locked eyes on accident when I tried stealing glances back at him, 'what's wrong with me?' I thought as my heart raced a bit before returning to normal, 'I'll have to talk to Aunt Kaia about all this when I see her.' I mentally noted and relaxed back into my seat as my friends and brother went back to talking about Lucas and his beta Donny.
I was gonna see him again tonight, 'Hopefully everything goes well, and I remain single, but if he and I were to marry, I wouldn't hate it' I thought to myself and a small smile crept onto my lips.
