บท 189: 189. Smoking

Topknot reached to his side and gave her the cigarette packet, along with a lighter. While he still ignored her, his tears never stopped falling.

Paige expertly lit her the cigarette and leaned on the railing, facing the young man.

He looked soft and tender, maybe a few years younger than her current body.

'What to do?' Should she ask him or let him be?

Taking a big puff, she made a few smoke rings. 

It took her months to learn it, with instructions from the web. Although not a practical skill, it gave her a sense of coolness.

The guy beside her looked at the smoke rings with indifference before looking down again.

"Go on and tell me." Paige just said bluntly.

Topknot snorted,

"Why should I?" Nothing indicated that he cried a river, not even his voice, beside the tears on his listless face.

"Why not?" Paige retorted equally listlessly.
