50% Harry Potter And the Astrologer / Chapter 10: 10: Friends.

บท 10: 10: Friends.

The river of lava in the distance illuminated the cave they were in. After much hardship and difficulty, they approached the goal of their mission, a huge red dragon that lay sleeping, surrounded by unimaginable treasure.

"That's a lot of gold!" exclaimed the red-haired dwarf, but he was slapped on the back of the head by a black-haired, green-eyed half-elf.

"Hush, don't talk so loud, what if you wake him?" the half-elf pointed at the sleeping dragon, who stirred a bit before continuing to sleep.

The duo, consisting of the dwarf above and half-elf, were part of a larger group. The other three members were a knight, who wore full armor and carried a huge sword on his back, and a witch. The last member was a barbarian woman who wielded a huge axe.

"Besides, we need to find the princess, not this dragon," said the witch, who seemed to be looking curiously at the entire lair of the mighty beast.

Although deep underground, the place didn't feel too hot or stifling. In addition, many different plants were growing there with quite powerful magical properties that could be used for various purposes, especially potions.

"We should have brought a thief for this, but the dwarf here didn't want to hang around with lowly wedge people," the knight complained, his voice muffled by his helmet, but everyone could feel his annoyance.

"Shut up! You wanted me to be the thief! I refuse, being a dwarf is much better than being a thief, we Weasleys are not thieves!" the dwarf shouted so loudly that not only did the dragon wake up, but the narrator slapped his face as the whole scene froze and we returned to the real world.

"RON! I told you not to talk about real life while we're playing!" Astreo, who was holding a lot of papers and even had them in front of him, complained to Ron, looking at him with annoyance.

"Yes, Ron, this is just a game," Ginny, whose character was the Barbarian, complained to her brother as she rolled her eyes.

"But it's not fair! You know I'm all about blacksmithing, and the only decent blacksmiths in this game are dwarves, no matter what they say about elves, they're not my thing," Ron continued to complain as the others just looked at each other before focusing on the game again.

"Since you love your dwarf so much..." muttered Astreo as a smile appeared on his face.

The dragon roared as he spotted the intruders, especially that annoying dwarf who kept talking. He hadn't slept in days! He had to listen to that stupid, spoiled princess's nonsense until he passed out from refusing to eat. Who would refuse the raw sheep offered by a dragon? Only a stupid princess would!

The dragon only kidnapped this annoying woman out of tradition; if a dragon didn't kidnap even one princess, he was considered something of an outcast among his kind, so he had to do it in a resigned manner just to fit in.

The beast roared, announcing its imminent attack, and then time seemed to slow down as the controllers of these five characters began to discuss their strategy.

"Okay guys, you know. Neville's Knight will take the attacks while Luna gives him advantages, Ginny will do as much damage as she can. Ron, you know you can support both Neville and Ginny. Meanwhile, I'll be firing arrows from a distance to support her and draw her attention so that Neville can intercept them.

If Luna can, she can cast some weakening spells, they are almost ineffective due to the dragon's resistance, but what you can do is always better, even if it is only a small effect. This will be an uphill battle, but we will do our best," Harry said, his ideas heard and considered.

But life is not like the fantasy of books and stories, sometimes it is much more disappointing, no matter how hard we try. The dragon, an incarnation of evil, or rather of Astreo, crushed the whole team of adventurers who wanted to fight him, just because he didn't like Ron's stubbornness, which was strangely dwarf-like.

"What's with the second phase, Astreo!" Ron grabbed Astreo's shoulders and started to shake him, while our protagonist giggled like the little kid he was when he managed to do a 'great deed'.

"You're going to have to grow up soon, my dear friend Ron," Astreo taunted, pulling himself out of the redhead's grip, then his hand went to the boy's head with such speed and mastery that it would make any martial artist who saw it envious.

"Stop hitting my head like that!" Ron tried to dodge Astreo's gesture, but he couldn't against the self-proclaimed greatest astrologer of all time.

"I don't understand why Astreo wants to pat us on the head, we're not little Crups," Neville said, picking up everything from the role-playing game to put it away.

"To him, we're all small, even if he is," Luna said absently, not caring about Asteo's strange behavior, thinking about how to get a pet dragon in the next DnD game.

"According to Mom, he's had this hobby since we were babies," Harry said, quietly drinking a glass of orange juice.

"I don't get it, he's so smart and mature sometimes, but he acts just like us, even playing in the mud, although he complained about it the first time," Ginny mentioned, making Astreo look at her, then at his hand, then at the girl's head.

"Looks like our little queen of Camelot still loves gossip," Astreo slowly approached Ginny, who was huddled behind Harry, who was still drinking his orange juice, as if he didn't care about the sinister look on Astreo's face.

Why bother? The boy who lived had realized early on that Astreo could only be stopped by one person, and it was ironic because if Astreo was a dragon, his enemy was like a fairy, a nickname that fit very well... Luna Lovegood.

"Astreo, stop scaring poor Ginny, you're only going to make her fall in love with Harry more," Luna, who had stopped randomly looking around, focused on our protagonist, who stopped in front of Harry, who was looking at him smugly.

Astreo wanted to see if he had behaved so wildly in his previous life, he knew children were little monsters, but wizarding children were on another level. Who said wizards were stupid? A little lacking in sense because of their ignorance of some things, but wizards were always synonymous with cunning, and those in this universe were the same.

Astreo was surprised to see the canon shattered at this point. They were in Luna Lovegood's house, or rather her tower, which was a bit ironic, since the fairy was going to imprison the dragon in her tower in the future... well, let's leave that aside for now.

A lot of the changes that happened in this world is that Harry Potter obviously didn't have that crappy childhood with his aunt and uncle, but with a loving mother, of course, who only loved him. For the wizarding world, Lily Potter was something of a disaster.

Imagine how she politically and socially destroyed her opponents who wanted to use her as a 'Mudblood' and you will understand. When the Ministry of Magic denied her mastery of potions, Lily Potter went to every country in Europe to get it back and got it in some, and even in America, where she invested in many magical businesses and enterprises.

Imagine the international ridicule Britain suffered for this, as they tried to use some tools to put pressure on the "inexperienced" Potter family regent, and it backfired. So Harry Potter grew up in an environment where he was not only imbued with magical knowledge and common sense, but like any good son, he also learned a few things from his mother.

The Weasleys were another interesting thing, Astreo didn't know if it was a trait inherited in their lineage, but all the Weasleys had something our protagonist called an "affinity for passion. Whatever the Weasleys were passionate about, they would devote themselves to it to the point of mastery and innovation.

Unlike in canon, where Mr. Weasley was a guy who dealt with Muggles in the Ministry but didn't know what a rubber duck was for, this man knew the world beyond wizarding. This, combined with Lily Potter's business, made the Weasley family much better off than their original counterpart.

This is why Astreo tolerated Ron, who is often scorned or ridiculed in many fanfics; yes, the boy was very emotional, but he had a talent for blacksmithing. Wizards don't need blacksmiths, but mix in runes and you have a little Weasley trying to create enchanted objects out of metal.

That's when Astreo stopped thinking about the canon. Is Ron Weasley reading a book of runes? At that moment, Astreo knew that nothing that happened in the original story was useful, except for some concrete knowledge.

For that matter, Ginny Weasley had a strange affinity for spells, something Pandora Lovegood recognized and promised to take her on as an apprentice in Spell Creation if the girl did well in her N.E.W.T.

Neville was another surprise to Astreo, the boy's parents, especially his mother, who was a friend of Lily Potter, had taken extensive precautions in case they were attacked, and that saved them from the attack of Bellatrix Lestrange, who was quickly incapacitated by the Aurors and hit wizards who arrived in time.

The boy did not have to grow up with a grandmother who wanted to imprint the remains of her mad son on her grandson but with a loving family. Perhaps it also had something to do with Astreo's fixation with swords, shields, and knightly things, which led him to be taught in that section.

For a family as old as the Longbottoms, it was obvious that there would be a squib, and since some pureblood families were nobles in the wizarding world, the squibs in the Longbottom family were not cast out but became knights.

Luna Lovegood, on the other hand, became something like the person who contained Atreus, the boy was very restless since he was reliving his childhood, and his mental age was also affected. Yes, he was not an old man in a child's body, he was a child, period.

A very restless child, by the way, who sometimes showed a much greater maturity than usual for magical children, but still behaved like a brat, that's where Luna came in, always keeping the nonsense and stupid things Astreo could do if left to his own devices at bay.

The five of them formed a strange group of friends who got along well and even went to the same school, as strange as that seemed. Astreo, Ron, Harry, and Neville were already 10 years old, while Luna and Ginny were 9.

Lily Potter not only became influential by using the resources and connections of the Potter house, but she used them herself, as well as the bonds she formed at Hogwarts.

Lily's influence was reflected in the fact that some purebloods of the supposedly light faction decided to send their children to Muggle schools because the Boy Who Lived attended one.

Arthur Weasley, being an enthusiast of the mundane world, included his children in this, and although Molly Weasley showed some resistance, she was not as fanatical about Muggles as her husband, but seeing that her children could learn things that the magical world could not teach them, and with her eagerness for her children to get a decent job, she agreed.

She even contacted her squib cousin to help her in the process, Connor Prewett, perhaps one of the few remnants of that once great magical family, now just an accountant. But it was he who introduced her to the intricacies of Muggle society, allowing her to learn some things she didn't know.

Surprised to learn that the Muggles they despised had reached the moon, the British wizards scoffed before the rest of the magical world laughed at them for being backward.

So British wizards began to open up to certain things, though they still maintained their ironclad traditionalism, at least they knew that Muggles could, for example, destroy the world if they went mad with something as bizarre as a 'nuclear bomb', funny was when some wizards swore they had some in their possession and started demanding things before they were arrested.

Astreo, who had calmed down, stared into Harry Potter's eyes. This version of him didn't wear glasses, perhaps because of his mother's good genes, or perhaps because he didn't have a parasite on his soul, though he did have the iconic scar.

"You protected your queen, Potter," Astreo quipped, raising his face haughtily as he faked a higher voice.

"My mother will hear about this," Astreo's comment made the group laugh, for some things never change.

War, and Draco being a whiny, spoiled child.
