บท 7: Heart Of The Divine Dragon

Once Vritra and Constantine chose to form his Dragon Heart today, they began to prepare. To do so, Constantine activated the many formations he had placed around his room. They were a combination of magic formations from Dragon Deus and Hecate's Grimoires.

They worked to not only seal off his room from outside influence, it also doubled as a magic gathering array. Magic was a natural energy in the environment and gathering it would make his work easier.

Constantine stood up and walked over to a corner of his room before he placed his hand on the ground. He began to input his mana into the magic runes he had carved into the ground secretly.

They began to glow a deep purple causing the wood boards to shift out of the way like liquid. Under the floor were 20 glass gallons filled with not just his blood, but Vritra's. Vritra could materialize any time he wished and he was a source of Dragon Blood.

They both had been gathering blood like this for years to prepare for this day. Ten gallons of Constantine's blood and ten for Vritra. They also could use some of it if he ever needed a blood transfusion as the Glyphs he had carved into the glass jugs preserved the blood to keep it fresh and viable. Vritra smiled as he would be able to draw out as much use in this blood.

He separated himself from Constantine before he began to materialize. At the moment he was the size of a Green Anaconda as his full size made him the size of a Sky Scraper.

"I think we have everything we need. Once we form your unique Dragon Heart, you will go through a period of acclimation as Dragon organs are very powerful, much less the heart. For a Dragon, their heart doesn't just pump their blood, it also produces all the mana we need.

It invigorates us and as long as Heart keeps beating we will never yield in a fight. Adding in your Divine Blood, the Dragon Mana you produce will come infused with Divine Energy. Before long you will become a Divine Dragon enough to match the gods."

Constantine smiled as he heard that.

"And when that happens, we won't need to be passive when the gods begin their bullshit."

Vritra nodded as he floated over and coiled around Constantine like a regular snake.

"Exactly. You are 10 years old at the moment, which is the perfect age as you will be in a period of extreme growth. Add in a Divine Dragon Heart and I am sure by the time you turn 18, no Demigod will be your match.

Though, being honest that is not much of a flex since it is the gods you need to be wary of."

Constantine nodded as he knew that.

"It is all the same friend, gods are called gods because mortals can't defeat them most of the time, but Dragons do not follow the rules. When Dragons Rage."

Vritra smirked and finished the sentence.

"Even gods flee."

Both chuckled as the formations in place began to gather and compress magic into his room. At a visible rate, the mana started to become so thick that it started to become visible filling the room with a potent mana.

Once it reached that state, Vritra unwrapped himself from Constantine who removed his shirt. Vritra began to carve a custom magic ritual they had worked on as they had modified the Dragon Pact that would cause the change.

Rather than exchange, his heart, they were going to take his current heart and build on it. Once the circle was complete and carved into the wood, Vritra began to channel his mana into it causing it to light up with a dark purple glow.

"Ready."

Constantine then laid down in the middle of the circle as Vritra coiled around. He dragged the gallons of blood toward him. He had 25 gallons of Constantine's Demigod blood which had also had Draconic Properties by being a Dragon Host.

Those two aspects had made his blood a unique thing because of how he was conceived. Constantine looked up at Vritra before he nodded.

"Do it."

Vritra did not respond as he activated the magic circle which began to pull all the mana that they had gathered and more into Constantine's body. At the same time, Vritra took control of all the mana in Constantine's body before forcing all of it into his heart.

When that happened, Constantine felt like his heart was being flooded with liquid fire and ice at the same time. He just closed his eyes and let his partner and mentor work. With all the mana flooding into the organ, Vritra started to do the same with his own Dragon Mana and Aura simultaneously.

This caused the pain that Constantine was feeling to rise to a new extreme, but he didn't even wince. Through pure force of will he stayed still as Vritra uncorked the gallons of blood.

Some of the jugs were filled with his dark purple blood and some were filled with blood red Demigod blood. Unlike gods, Demigods didn't have Ichor, but even without it, their blood was special.

Constantine more so because he was part Titan, god, and Dragon. Vritra was not just an Evil Dragon, he was a Dragon King and an Asura. He was all three simultaneously and over the past 10 years, all three had grown stronger due to the Divine Essence of his host.

His blood had been invigorated with the Divine Blood in his host and now he would return the favor. The gallons of blood began to float in the air before it began to fuse directly above Constantine's heart.

As the blood was mixed, Vritra continued his work on Constantine's heart. Already the organ was starting to glow a bright red as more and more mana was flowing through it. It was so bright that it was shining through Constantine's skin.

As for the 20 gallons of blood, once it was all thoroughly combined, the blood was compressed until it became a stone, the size of a fist. However, that was not the end as more and more pressure was applied to it before it started regaining a liquid-like state in a Super Solid.

From the stone, a red mist began to be released as the human blood was separated from the Divine and Dragon Blood. This caused the orb to not only be Dark Purple with Vritra's blood but throughout it, a few drops of golden Ichor were shown.

Ten gallons of blood from Constantine only made a few drops of Ichor, but that was enough.

"Get ready for the last step, now this will hurt."

'Do it.'

Vritra lowered the orb down which passed through Constantine's skin, muscles, and bones before it reached its heart. Once that happened, Constantine's eyes on their own became bright amber with slit pupils as they often did when he used his draconic powers.

Only this time he was feeling extreme agony as he felt his heart have its tissues and essence fused with purified Dragon Blood and Ichor distilled from his blood. Vritra continued to work as he used magic to hold Constantine down who was starting to writhe in agony.

He started to scream and if not for the formations they had placed, Max and Carmen would have rushed here. Even then, Constantine was focused as he began to try to take control of his mana to help Vritra.

Appreciating this, Vritra could focus on fusing the blood essence into his tissues. At the same time, more Dragon Mana and Aura began surging into his tissues as the Essence was chipped away.

After over 20 minutes of this, all of the blood they had gathered was gone and fully fused into Constantine's heart. When Vritra turned off the magic circle on the ground, he released Constantine from his hold.

Constantine began to gasp as breathing was starting to become hard. Vritra expected this as Constantine's new heart was a decent bit bigger and took up more space.

"I know it feels terrible, but you will grow into it. Your body will grow to adapt. Take slow deep breaths."

Constantine did as instructed taking slow breaths which made his lungs burn like acid. He placed a hand over his chest where his new heart was. Through his magic sight, he could see his heart was a dark purple with small golden veins through it.

It was beating slowly, but already he could notice how each breath he took caused mana to enter his lungs. With each beat, his Heart began to produce Mana on its own for him.

Dragon Mana and thanks to the Ichor that they had managed to make, Divine Energy was mixed in with the Dragon Mana. That new energy was starting to flow through his body as the blood that flowed through his heart was saturated with mana.

The blood that entered his heart was then transported through his body bringing with it change and evolution. Constantine wanted to drag himself to his bed, but Vritra levitated him before placing him on the bed.

Each breath was painful as his lungs seemed to feel like lava.

"Your lungs are filling with mana now because you will gain a Dragon Breath in the future. Dragons breathe mana-rich air, which then enters the Heart where the Dragon Mana produces oxygenates and manatizes their blood.

I suspect in the next few weeks, you are going to start to grow quickly enough. How do you feel?"

Even speaking hurt, but he did raise his hand.

"Great."

He coughed as his lungs were burning before this, breathing was normal. He would slowly, regain his mana, but now he was breathing mana and air together. He could feel it as potent Divine Dragon Mana was being produced by his Heart before his blood was manatized.

His heart at the moment was at a resting rate so it was calm, but after a few moments which is what it took for blood to be pumped through the body, he felt energized. The Divine Dragon Mana in his blood had reached all his organs and even his brain.

This was just a few moments, but the real changes would happen over months and years. To relax, Constantine closed his eyes and fell asleep from pure exhaustion. Vritra smiled as he returned to a soul state before he returned to Constantine's soul.

He then closed his eyes as he curled around the Sword of Sigismund and Constantine's Shotgun which was still there. Both of them were tired so they fell asleep. Constantine's new Divine Dragon Heart continued to beat and as it did so it brought power.

Constantine ended up sleeping through the rest of the day, and night and he didn't wake up until noon. Max and Carmen were worried a bit as he always woke up before the sun came up to help around the farm.

They went into his room to see how he was doing, but they saw he was snoring. He never snored or slept long so they thought he was extra tired and they let him sleep. Though, when Constantine finally did wake up and open his eyes, they were a deep dark purple with glowing dragon slits.

He sat up and blinked forcing his eyes back to their usual purple. Thanks to the mist, mortals just saw his eyes as blue, but they were a shade darker than before. When he stood up he took a deep breath as most of his discomfort was gone.

He walked over to his mirror and looked at his body. He felt he was even more muscular than before, his bones seemed to have gotten thicker, and he seemed more handsome.

For his height, he used to be 5'2, but now he was close to 5'5. He would need to find a way to explain that, but he and Vritra would need to develop some magic to hide his Dragon Heart. When the time came to reveal himself, he would make sure that Zeus and the rest of his Pantheon of shits would kneel.

Kratos and Typhon made them kneel. The gods ran at Typhon and they better run when he came for them. Though, he would need allies and he knew where to get some who hated the gods.
