Evelyn stirred slowly in her sleep, the warmth of the soft hotel sheets wrapped around her, blending with the heat radiating from the strong arms wrapped securely around her waist. Her eyelashes fluttered against her cheeks as she blinked awake, taking in the dim lighting of the luxurious room.

She blinked, her heart skipping a beat as she felt Zevian's solid body pressed against her from behind, his arm looped around her waist as if he were protecting her even in sleep.
