บท 196: Let’s Do That

Alex watched Sabrina as she absentmindedly pushed her eggs around her plate, her fork stabbing at pieces of them without taking a single bite.

"You're still thinking about the doctor's diagnosis, aren't you?" Alex asked, his voice soft, but his eyes never leaving her.

Sabrina glanced up at him, her expression clouded with worry. "How can I not think about it?" she said quietly, setting her fork down. "It just doesn't make sense to me. Fibroids? I don't understand how that's possible. I take my health seriously. I always have. Why would someone like me have something like that?"

"It doesn't have to make sense," Alex said, leaning back in his chair. "Instead of worrying about it, why don't we make an appointment with the specialist the doctor recommended? You can get more answers then."
