Ybur's heart stirred, and he carefully tailed behind the Rat People.

Although he did not know what these Rat People were up to, he decided to follow them first and see.

Rat People were usually noisy, but this group moved in a quiet procession—although some still couldn't help but squeak noisily. However, the group had enforcers resembling taskmasters among them. These bipedal Rat People carried whips and immediately lashed out at any noise-makers, beating the unruly ones to the ground where they would roll around emitting shrill, plaintive squeaks. These sounds carried far in the quiet sewers, but even if heard by others, they would probably just think there were particularly many rats that day.

They pressed on.

Ybur had no idea where the rats were heading but followed behind them. It wasn't just him, countless ordinary rats converged from all sides, as if drawn by some call, following the trail of the Rat People and forming a massive tide.
