"Not fully awake yet?"
A clear and familiar voice suddenly rang out close by, tinged with a bit of depth, like a small brush inadvertently sweeping past her ear, eliciting a tingling sensation.
Tang Shu opened her eyes, her groggy gaze instantly gaining a hint of lucidity as her bare, pale toes unconsciously curled inwards.
She tilted her phone slightly, and two characters displayed on the screen:
Jing Yu.
"I'm sorry..."
A wave of warmth spread across Tang Shu's cheek resting against the right side of her phone screen, and in her heart, she repeatedly cursed Cheng Ranran as the culprit, unaware that she was displacing her irritation.
"I'm awake now."
"Mm," Jing Yu uttered a single syllable nasally, "The weather is really nice today. They're holding a temple fair on the street by our community. Want to check it out?"
