The Nine-Tails (Kurama) in the cage looked at Naruto with a cold expression, confused by the boy's intentions. Naruto could already draw on Kurama's power at will, so why was he asking for permission?
"Huh? What are you talking about? That's your power after all," Naruto replied, looking at Kurama with genuine confusion.
"What?"
Kurama was taken aback by Naruto's response.
"Sure, I can use your power whenever I want, but I, Uzumaki Naruto, am not the kind of guy who just takes something from someone without asking. If you don't want me to use it, then I won't."
Naruto looked straight into Kurama's eyes with determination, showing no fear.
"You stupid brat..."
Kurama was shocked by Naruto's honesty, unable to detect any lies in his clear eyes.
"Are you an idiot? You can use my power freely, and yet you ask? Do you know how many people would kill to have my power? They'd laugh at you if they knew your thoughts," Kurama sneered.
"So what?"
Naruto wasn't bothered in the slightest by the idea of being laughed at.
"Speaking honestly and sticking to my principles—that's my ninja way!"
Naruto grinned his signature smile, thumbing his chest with pride. Despite his small stature, his voice carried great strength.
"If you don't want me to use your power, then I'll handle this with my own strength!"
Naruto turned away, ready to leave his inner world, moving swiftly without hesitation.
Kurama watched Naruto disappear from his sight, stunned and unable to react.
"This brat!"
Kurama was left surprised. He had thought Naruto was merely putting on a show, but it seemed the boy was genuinely serious.
"Hmph, what a foolish but interesting kid," Kurama muttered, a hint of curiosity flickering in his expression.
Back in the real world, Naruto tried to summon Gamabunta to aid in the battle, but with his limited chakra, he could only summon Gamakichi instead.
"Why is it you?! Where's the boss?!" Naruto exclaimed, panicked.
"How should I know? With your weak chakra, you're lucky to have summoned me at all! What's going on here? Why are there so many monsters?" Gamakichi was just as startled, jumping onto Naruto's head for protection.
"I don't know! Damn it, I guess I'll have to handle this on my own!"
Naruto took a deep breath and grabbed a kunai, ready to fight.
"Kid, I'll lend you some of my power!"
Kurama's voice suddenly echoed in Naruto's mind, catching him off guard.
"Kurama, you...?"
Naruto was surprised, having not expected Kurama to respond.
"Don't overthink it. I just figured it would be troublesome if you died. Let's see how your foolish little brain handles my power."
With Kurama's words, Naruto's body was enveloped in a powerful red chakra, filling him with newfound strength.
"Thanks, Kurama!"
Naruto, now feeling empowered, quickly performed a summoning jutsu, successfully calling forth Gamabunta.
The massive toad landed with a thunderous crash, instantly crushing several zombies and Javo creatures.
"Boss Gamabunta, the village is under attack by monsters! We need your help!"
Naruto and Gamakichi shouted together.
"You really are something else, kid. And what's with this world? Why are there such terrifying creatures?"
Gamabunta remarked before drawing his blade, slicing through several Javo creatures that tried to attack.
With Gamabunta's support, the tide of battle in Konoha began to turn.
As word spread that it was Naruto, the once-ignored outcast, who had summoned such powerful aid, many in the village started to reevaluate their opinions of him.
This night would be one Konoha never forgot.
As promised, the next live broadcast of the SCP containment predictions began.
...
Marvel Universe
Tony Stark was studying a new weapon that Rhodey had obtained—the Crystal Tendril Missile.
This weapon was terrifyingly potent.
Upon detonation, it released strange ice particles that crystallized anything they touched. What's more, after a while, the crystallized objects would shatter, spreading the crystal further to anything it came into contact with, whether living or inanimate. If left unchecked, Tony calculated that it could crystallize the entire Earth in less than a month!
No matter what he tried, nothing could destroy the crystal. It couldn't even be melted by temperatures of thousands of degrees.
Fortunately, the crystals couldn't affect quartz.
That's why the missile contained a large amount of quartz material to control the spread of the crystals within a designated area. But even that wasn't foolproof.
During a test where Tony had Rhodey fire three missiles, a crystal fragment managed to escape the quartz barrier.
Had Tony not prepared extra quartz to contain it, they would have faced a huge problem.
Incidentally, Tony had tried using the missile on the Weeping Angels and managed to crystallize one of them. But when they turned away, the Angel broke free from the crystal and killed several people, raising even more questions about the Angels.
"Hey, Tony, can we mass-produce this? I bet the military would be very interested in a weapon like this. They're waiting for my report," Rhodey said to Tony.
During the test, S.H.I.E.L.D., the military, and several spies had been watching, so word of this terrifying weapon had spread quickly.
"Tell them that if I can't mass-produce it, nobody can. And according to my calculations, it'll take a long time to get there," Tony replied casually.
Whether it was the compression of the crystal molecules or the deployment mechanism, this technology was nothing like conventional missiles. True mass production would take considerable time.
And with Tony's other projects, it would take even longer.
"Now entering SCP containment prediction live broadcast."
As Tony was about to resume his research, a screen appeared before him.
"Oh right, it's that time again. I wonder what SCP we'll see today."
Tony thought to himself, intrigued.
"Hey, Tony, what's this? Why is there a screen?"
This time, Rhodey was also puzzled as he could see the screen as well.
