บท 111: A Sleeping Beast in the Bathtub

There was a naked man sprawled in the bathtub, snoring gently as though he belonged there. When Fanfar screamed, the man shot awake, and in a reflex, launched himself to the ceiling, clinging like a startled cat. Fanfar's eyes widened as he took in the sight: a swishing orange tail, furred ears flattened against the man's head, and a single card fluttering down to the floor, turning slowly until it landed face up: "The Marionette of Emigration."

Fanfar gulped, heart pounding as he reached for a towel to cover himself. "W-what the hell? How did you even get in here?" His voice wavered between anger and raw confusion.

He reached toward the card, but in the blink of an eye, the man dropped back to the floor, standing inches from him, the card now firmly in his grasp. Fanfar froze as the stranger's ears tilted back, his fangs flashing in a warning. "Don't touch my card," he hissed.
