43.39% I want to become a killer / Chapter 23: Part 22

บท 23: Part 22

The city buzzed with anticipation as the sun rose higher, casting long shadows across the streets. People went about their morning routines, unaware that their world was about to shift beneath their feet. The tension in the air was thick, palpable—like a storm on the horizon, waiting to break.

I stood on the edge of the crowd, hidden in plain sight, watching the first signs of unrest unfold. Solomon had been right. The people were ready. They were angry, disillusioned, and looking for someone to blame. A few carefully chosen sparks were all it took to set the fire.

The protest started small—just a few dozen people outside the government building, holding signs, chanting slogans. But it quickly escalated. Someone threw a brick through the window of a nearby store, and before anyone knew it, the crowd was throwing bottles, overturning cars, and clashing with the police. It was a perfect storm.

I watched from a distance as the violence spread like wildfire. It was exactly what we needed. Chaos. The city's infrastructure was already buckling under the weight of the unrest. The police were overwhelmed, the media was scrambling to report, and the people were losing their faith in the system. It was the perfect opportunity to step in and fill the void.

Solomon's message came through on my phone as I walked through the chaos, blending into the crowd. It's happening. Get to the next location.

I didn't need to ask which location. I already knew. It was time for the next phase of the plan.

I moved through the back alleys, avoiding the main roads where the protests were most intense. My mind was focused, calculating. This wasn't just about watching the city burn—it was about controlling the narrative, manipulating the way the people would see it. If everything went according to plan, they wouldn't even realize they were being led.

I arrived at a small, nondescript building tucked between two larger structures. The door was already open, and I stepped inside without a second thought. Solomon was waiting for me, as calm and collected as ever.

"Everything's progressing as expected," he said, his voice low but confident. "The chaos is starting to spread. The news is already reporting the violence as a protest gone wrong. We need to keep the pressure on."

I nodded. "And the next move?"

"We control the message. We need to get our people into the media outlets, put pressure on the officials. We'll leak the right information at the right time, make sure it looks like the government is responsible for the violence. Distrust is the key to pushing them over the edge."

"And when they fall?"

Solomon smiled, a cold, calculating smile. "When they fall, we step in. We offer the solution they've been waiting for—someone who can restore order. Someone who can rebuild the broken system."

I stepped closer to him, my eyes fixed on his. "And that someone is me, isn't it?"

He didn't flinch. "Yes. You're the one who has the vision. The strength to do what needs to be done. But you won't do it alone. We'll need support, allies who will follow you, who will help guide the chaos into something we can control."

I thought about it for a moment. The plan was ambitious, and Solomon was right. We couldn't do this alone. We needed people who could see the same vision, who understood the world the way we did. People who would do whatever it took to rebuild the world in our image.

"We'll need to start recruiting," I said, already formulating a list of individuals I could trust. "And we'll need to move quickly."

Solomon nodded. "The sooner, the better. The media will be buzzing for the next few days, but the real power will be in the streets. The more we can control them, the faster we can move in and take charge."

I stepped back, feeling the weight of what we were about to do. The world was teetering on the edge, and we were the ones pushing it forward.

"Let's do it," I said, my voice steady. "Let's take control."

Solomon's smile widened. "It's already happening, Psychobi. The pieces are moving into place. We just have to make sure we're there to claim the prize when it all falls apart."

I turned and made my way toward the door, my mind already set on the next steps. The world had been given a glimpse of chaos, but what they didn't realize was that the true storm was only just beginning.

By the time they understood what had happened, it would be too late. The revolution wasn't coming. It was already here.
