30.18% I want to become a killer / Chapter 16: Part 15

บท 16: Part 15

The night passed in a blur of data, commands, and ruthless precision. I worked through the hours in the dimly lit command center, my eyes fixed on the screens, my fingers moving with a speed and certainty that left no room for error. Every keystroke was deliberate, every click an echo of my will. I could feel the power surging through me, the kind of power that wasn't just physical, but psychological—a power over people, over institutions, over the very systems that held the world in place.

The figures on the other side of the operation were starting to feel the tremors. I could see it in the way the data on the monitors shifted, in the way their networks flickered, moments before they began to unravel. Every move I made sent ripples through their carefully constructed web, each action setting off a chain reaction they couldn't control.

I had studied them long enough to know their weaknesses. I had memorized their habits, their routines, their vulnerabilities. The people who had tried to use me, the ones who had thought they could manipulate me—they were about to learn that I was the one in control. It wasn't just about breaking them. It was about breaking them down, piece by piece, until they had nothing left to cling to.

I could hear the faint sound of footsteps approaching the room, the soft buzz of the door's lock disengaging. But I didn't turn away from the screens. The operation I was initiating was too important.

The door opened, and the familiar figure of my mentor entered. His face was tense, his eyes darting around the room as if searching for something—perhaps looking for reassurance, or perhaps preparing himself for confrontation.

"What have you done?" he asked, his voice low, controlled. But I could hear the undercurrent of panic in his tone.

I glanced at him, my expression calm, almost serene. "I'm starting a revolution."

His face darkened, and he stepped closer to the console. "This isn't what we agreed on," he said, his voice rising. "You can't just destabilize everything—this will bring chaos. It will bring war."

I didn't flinch. "Exactly."

He stared at me for a long moment, his eyes searching my face as if trying to see behind the mask I had carefully constructed. "You're playing with fire, Psychobi," he warned. "You're going to burn everything down. And you don't even know what's on the other side."

I met his gaze, my lips curling into a slight, almost predatory smile. "I know exactly what's on the other side. And it's freedom."

He looked away, shaking his head in disbelief. "You're wrong. You're throwing away everything we've worked for. You'll ruin us all."

I stood up from the chair, stepping away from the console and facing him. "You were never in control. You were always a pawn, just like the rest of them. I'm the one who decides how this ends."

He took a step back, his expression hardening. "You think you can control this? You think you can control the chaos you're about to unleash? You've underestimated everything. You don't understand the consequences."

"The only consequence I understand," I said, my voice cold, "is that I get what I want."

He seemed to hesitate, his eyes narrowing as he studied me. "You think you're the only one who can bring about change. You think you're the only one who can reshape the world. But you're not, Psychobi. There are others like you."

I felt a sudden coldness sweep over me, the words hanging in the air like a challenge. Others like me? It wasn't a threat, but a statement—a warning that there were more players in this game than I had accounted for. But I was ready. I had to be. The world wasn't just a battlefield—it was a war zone, and I would be its general.

I didn't respond to his comment. Instead, I returned my attention to the screens, watching as the chaos I had started rippled outward. The first phase was complete. Their networks were compromised, their operations scrambled. The global infrastructure was in disarray, and there was nothing they could do to stop it. It was too late.

"You're not going to stop me," I said, my voice calm, almost too calm. "This is bigger than you. Bigger than all of them."

He stood there for a moment longer, as if weighing his options, before finally speaking again. "If you go through with this, you'll destroy everything. You'll destroy yourself."

I turned to face him, my gaze unwavering. "I've already destroyed myself. Now I'm building something new."

The finality in my voice seemed to settle over him like a shroud. He didn't speak again. Instead, he turned and walked out of the room, the door sliding shut behind him with a soft hiss.

I watched him leave, but my focus quickly shifted back to the screens. The operation was far from over. This was just the beginning. There was more to be done, more destruction to cause, more control to seize.

And as I watched the world begin to crack and crumble, I knew something deep inside me—this was where I was meant to be. This was what I was born for.

The world had no idea what was coming. But soon, they would.

They would all know who I was. And they would all fear what I could do.

The game was just beginning. And I was going to win.
