บท 29: Chapter 29 (Change)

The day came, and the tension was there. The actual palace of Tenawyuv loomed ahead, its towers reaching towards the sky, a symbol of the power and tradition Azazel and Kreo were challenging. They stood at the palace gates.

They were opened into the grand hall, where the king and queen sat on their thrones, their expressions stern and unreadable. The room was filled with noblemen, advisors, and high-ranking officials, all present to witness the unprecedented meeting.

Kreo stepped forward, his voice steady and respectful. "Your Majesties, thank you for granting us this audience."

The king's eyes narrowed. "We have heard much about you two, and your… unusual situation."

The queen leaned forward, her gaze piercing. "You have caused quite a stir in Tenawyuv, and beyond. What do you seek from us?"

Azazel took a deep breath and stepped beside Kreo. "We seek understanding and change. For centuries, the system has pitted heroes and villains against each other, but we believe it's time to take a different path. We want to live peacefully, to raise our children without fear."

There was a murmur among the officials. The king raised a hand to silence them. "You claim to have children together. Show us these children."

Kreo and Azazel motioned, and Darla, Alexander, Sarah, and Elysia entered the hall carrying Aelius, Aurora, and Caelum. The triplets, oblivious to the gravity of the situation, looked around with wide, curious eyes.

"These are our children," Kreo said. "Aelius, Aurora, and Caelum. They are the future generation of heroes, born out of love, not hatred."

The queen rose from her throne, approaching the children with a mix of curiosity and scepticism. She looked into their eyes, seeing innocence and potential. She turned back to the court, her expression softening slightly.

"The children are indeed remarkable," she said. "But the laws of our land are not easily changed. Why should we believe that a villain can live among us without causing harm?"

Azazel stepped forward. "Your Majesty, I have lived among the people for years without causing any harm. I want a change, to be a part of the society, and to raise my children in a world where they are not judged by the roles their parents were given."

The king and queen exchanged a knowing glance before letting out a sigh. "Kreo and Azazel, please follow us," the king said, turning and walking away with the queen by his side.

Kreo and Azazel exchanged a worried look but followed. The royal couple led them through a series of grand rooms, finally stopping before at a wall. The king pressed a hidden mechanism, and with a soft rumble, the wall slid open, revealing a hidden entrance.

They stepped into a vast, dimly lit chamber. A single ray of light shone down from above, illuminating a concrete table in the centre. The air was cool and tinged with the scent of ancient stone.

"Place your hands on the table," the queen instructed, setting her hands down as well with the king.

Kreo and Azazel did as they were told. The light above dimmed, plunging the room into darkness. Suddenly, blue light began to glow from the table, flowing down to the floor and spreading across the walls. The room transformed into a magical space, with glowing runes and symbols dancing across every surface.

Suddenly, floating screens materialised before them, much like the one Azazel had seen when he was chosen to be the villain. These holographic images were visible to both the king and queen, shimmering in the dim light of the chamber.

The queen released her hands from the table and touched the floating screen, able to manipulate it. She scrolled through the holographic history of past heroes and villains of Tenawyuv, her eyes narrowing as she read. The images were lifelike, depicting scenes from the lives of heroes and villains of old.

Finally, she found Kreo and Azazel's profiles. When she pressed on them, a unique button appeared labeled [STORY].

"What's that for?" Azazel asked.

The king and queen were equally puzzled but pressed it. A novel-like narrative unfurled before them.

"One day after long years since Queen Marylin made the system, everything was as it had been for centuries. But a certain villain called Azazel Everlim would change that when he met the powerless hero, Kreo James…"

The room seemed to hum with energy as they read through the tale. The screens displayed their journey from their first encounter to their love and the birth of their children. The truth of their story was laid bare, indisputable and clear.

At the bottom of the screen, a section caught the queen's eye. It was an official signature, shimmering with a golden glow—Queen Marylin herself had signed it.

"Her signature…" the queen mumbled, "You both were destined to be. Queen Marylin herself foresaw this moment."

The king nodded with a smile. "You are not just changing history; you are fulfilling a prophecy."

Kreo and Azazel stood in awe, feeling the weight of their journey. This magical chamber had revealed their truth, and now they knew that their fight for acceptance was not just a personal struggle but a destined path.

The four of them soon emerged from the chamber. It felt like minutes had passed, but outside, hours had gone by.

"Where have you two been?" Elysia asked.

Azazel and Kreo exchanged a knowing smile. "The king and queen showed us a hall of history, and we got invested in it," Kreo lied.

Darla and the others were relieved to see them return. As Caelum began to cry out of hunger, the adults all bowed to their majesties before hurrying back home.

Over the next few weeks, the story of Kreo and Azazel spread throughout Tenawyuv and beyond. The tale of their love, their children, and their destiny touched the hearts of many, slowly changing the perception of what it meant to be a hero and a villain.

The government, initially resistant, began to understand the significance of their story. The prophecy signed by Queen Marylin became a cornerstone in their acceptance, showing that the system they had trusted for so long was not infallible but rather open to evolution.

Kreo and Azazel's speech was replayed countless times, and gradually, public opinion shifted. People began to see Azazel not as a villain but as a loving partner and father who wanted to change his destiny.

Their children, Aelius, Aurora, and Caelum, were celebrated as the first of a new generation of heroes born from a love that defied the old system.

The king and queen, having witnessed the truth and the prophecy firsthand, the system still stands being strict but not in this story.

One evening, as the sun set over Tenawyuv, Kreo and Azazel stood on the balcony of their home. They held hands, feeling a deep sense of fulfilment and peace.

"We've come a long way," Azazel said, smiling at Kreo.

"Yes, we have," Kreo replied, squeezing his hand. "And we've done it together."

Azazel looked out at the horizon, the future bright and full of promise. "Here's to our new beginning."

The city embracing its new dawn, Kreo and Azazel knew that their love had truly changed the world.

And so, their story, which had started with uncertainty and fear, ended with hope and love—an everlasting legacy for Tenawyuv and beyond.

  ~ Queen Marylin Lysandra

In a dimly lit room that resembled a cell, a young man stood before a woman seated on a raised platform, her face obscured by shadows.

"Ma'am," the young man said, bowing deeply.

"Speak, boy," the woman commanded, her voice echoing with authority.

"They broke the system," he continued, his voice trembling slightly. "There will be three future heroes instead of one."

"What?!" she screamed, her fury palpable. "How is that possible?"

"Triplets," the young man answered, his head still bowed.

The woman stood up, stepping into the light, revealing her face, a young woman twisted with anger and a sinister grin.

"Call them," she said, her voice dripping with malice. "Tell them there'll be a feast of the blood of the new generation of heroes." She laughed, a chilling sound that echoed through the room.

"We will break the system and bring back our glory once more," she declared, sitting back down with a malevolent smile. "It won't be long before I rule over the King and Queen. Our time is coming."

The young man nodded, retreating swiftly to carry out her orders, as the woman's laughter filled the air, promising dark times ahead.
