บท 24: Oliver

**In the grandeur of Pandragon's Mansion,**

Count David presided over the lavish dining room, an opulent setting befitting his esteemed status. Arthur, draped in a pristine white serviette, observed with keen interest as the dining maidservant meticulously prepared his meal. The aroma of freshly cooked meat wafted through the air, accompanied by the tantalizing scent of grilled mushrooms and the sweetness of fruit jam. Arthur took a sip of his reddish-brown tea, savoring the delicate notes of malt and raspberry that danced upon his palate.

Meanwhile, Duke Arturus, a renowned banker and Minister of Council in the House of Lords, sat nearby, engrossed in the latest news. "The Aurora Order is really crazy," he murmured, shaking his head in disbelief.

"Aurora Order?" Arthur inquired, his curiosity piqued. "What did they do?"

His father sighed heavily, clearly troubled by the grim tidings. "They murdered the Intis Ambassador, Bakerland," he explained, his voice tinged with concern.

Arthur's mother, Sofia, joined the conversation, her expression grave. "The Aurora Order members are lunatics. We cannot comprehend the actions of madmen," she remarked solemnly, her gaze flickering with unease. "Arthur, make sure to steer clear of this group in the future."

The atmosphere at the table grew tense as the implications of the ambassador's death reverberated through their thoughts. The specter of war loomed ominously on the horizon, casting a shadow over Backlund and its inhabitants. The death of the Intis ambassador could trigger a war throughout the Northern and Southern empires. They seemed a bit worried by this. This was the beginning of chaos in Backlund. This incident was only the prelude to a larger chaos in the future.

Amidst the backdrop of political turmoil,Arthur's mind drifted to more pressing matters. As a Sequence 7 Beyonder in a System Pathway, he possessed the rare ability to create an avatar—a sentient being with its own personality and emotions. Coupled with his Flame Authority from the Flaming Star Pathway, Arthur's avatar was virtually indistinguishable from a living person, rendering it impervious to spiritual scrutiny.

With these newfound powers at his disposal, Arthur contemplated the possibility of infiltrating the Tarot Club. By masking his avatar's spiritual color with a fiery hue imbued with Flame Authority, Arthur could covertly observe the club's activities and glean valuable insights into their inner workings.

**Sonia Sea, Roasted Archipelago—**

A remote village ravaged by tragedy and despair. Oliver, a grieving husband consumed by anguish, roamed the desolate streets in search of answers. His once-thriving community lay in ruins, its inhabitants torn asunder by forces beyond his control.

With each agonizing step, Oliver grappled with the harrowing reality of his loss. His beloved wife, and his cherished home—both swept away by the merciless tide of fate.

Oliver's tale began in the verdant fields of Roasted Archipelago, where he toiled day in and day out as a humble farmer, tending to the crops that sustained his village. Born into a family of modest means, Oliver knew the value of hard work and perseverance from a young age, instilled with a strong sense of duty and honor by his parents.

Despite the challenges of rural life, Oliver cherished the simple joys that abounded in his idyllic surroundings. Each morning, he would rise with the sun, eager to embark on another day of labor in the fields. With calloused hands and a steadfast resolve, he nurtured the earth with tender care, coaxing forth bountiful harvests from the fertile soil.

"Sofyyyyy!" His anguished cry echoed through the desolate remnants of what was once his thriving village. As Oliver staggered through the debris-strewn streets, his heart heavy with dread, he found himself confronted by the grim reality of his worst fears. The village he had called home, where laughter once rang out like the pealing of church bells, now lay in ruins, its once bustling thoroughfares reduced to little more than a graveyard of broken dreams.

His eyes brimmed with tears of disbelief and despair as he surveyed the devastation that surrounded him. Every familiar landmark, every cherished memory, had been cruelly obliterated by forces beyond his control. His wife, his parents, and the friends he had known since childhood—all gone, snatched away from him in the blink of an eye, leaving nothing but an empty

"Why is this happening to me?" Oliver's voice trembled with anguish as he grappled with the enormity of his loss. His mind reeled with the weight of unanswered questions, his thoughts consumed by a maelstrom of grief and confusion in their wake.

"Whereeee, where is my village! Where is my wife!" He yelled at the sky. The heavens, as if mocking him, let out a few thunders. He could feel the Lord was mocking him! He felt the anger filling him up. He took a slow and heavy step and dragged his unwilling feet to the Church that he worshiped so much all his life. His gaze this time was not devotion but full of murderous intent. With grim resolve, he set his sights on the church that had once been his beacon of hope, his sanctuary in a world gone mad. But now, it stood as a monument to his shattered faith, a testament to the depths of despair to which he had been plunged.
