"Come on! Don't lose!"
"Bang!"
Dr. Tesla was so excited that her right hand, encased in mechanical arm armor, suddenly smashed through the table.
Dr. Einstein, sitting next to her, trembled from the sudden vibration and almost spilled the black tea in her cup. She sighed and said in her usual weak tone:
"Dr. Tesla, the table is very expensive."
"What time is it? Why are you still talking about this? Did you see it? That type of Honkai Beast has never appeared before, and this scale is nearly at the emperor level. If it reaches the city, it'll be a massacre!"
"I know. That's why the silver bullets are easy to be deployed, and there seem to be other backups on Cocolia's side. Don't worry, the situation can be controlled."
"But I'm worried about that Titan Pilot Column! They're too far away, and Cocolia's Titan Corps is still en route with no immediate support! Damn it, if only my Arahato giant robot were there!"
Tesla grabbed her head frantically.
Even if the people in the picture were ordinary, Tesla would be distressed, let alone the brave warriors of the same organization.
Einstein was silent for a moment, then sighed:
"Trust them, Dr. Tesla. I think they have already realized this."
For now, the executors far from home had no other options.
...
"Captain, there's a weakness in the neck. I'll leave it to you!"
The two Titans, fighting two-to-one, shuttled through the hail of bullets formed by the sea of insects. They were like ships in turbulent waters but still managed to trip the massive bear-shaped Honkai Beast, directing it towards Kella.
Kella controlled the mecha, and a sharp blade extended from the right arm of the mechanical arm.
"Pilot, according to calculations, our propulsion force is not enough to form an effective attack force in the encirclement of small Honkai beasts."
"I know. Believe me, BT."
"Follow protocol two: stick to the mission. The fuselage safety restrictions are lifted, and the extreme propulsion mode is activated. Pilot, I will always believe in you."
"Me too, BT. Let's... kill!"
The short and resolute conversation was transmitted through the wide-area communication channel, making everyone's heart tighten.
"Clang!"
The arm sword separated the bodies of countless insect-type Honkai beasts, accurately piercing the lower neck of the bear-type Honkai Emperor, deeply penetrating the giant bear's body through the narrow fur area without shell protection.
"Roar!"
The giant bear roared and struggled, knocking away the other two Titans and wildly swinging Kella's Titan in the air.
"It's over!"
"It wasn't a one-shot kill!"
"Captain, are you okay?"
"Captain!"
The panicked voices of the pilots came from the two Titans overwhelmed by the swarm.
Then, through Kella's Titan's perspective, everyone saw Kella, wearing a silver-white exoskeleton, jumping out of the cockpit. She faced the ubiquitous small Honkai beasts like bullets and punched the crazy giant bear in the eye.
"Roar!"
At the moment of its roar, Kella landed on one of its teeth, grabbed a section of the black cylinder on its back, and threw it into its throat.
"Nano fusion battery, kid!"
Kella chuckled in her helmet, jumped up, and landed on the Titan's open palm.
"Pilot, the mecha can no longer maintain effective protection after losing the last fully charged battery."
"It's okay, BT. Our mission is accomplished."
Kella, in the Titan's fist, blood oozing from the corner of her mouth, spoke in a nonchalant tone.
Excited shouts from teammates came through the communication. Kella patted her head, sighed, and said:
"Stop yelling, I'm not dead yet. The next task is up to you. BT, block their voices; they're giving me a headache."
"Pilot, the mission is not over yet."
"Hmm?"
"Kella, believe me... Execute Agreement Three: Protect the Pilot!"
The Titan spoke in a calm voice, put Kella back into the cockpit on its chest, and then extended its left arm with a sword blade, suddenly cutting off its right arm that was stuck in the giant bear's fur.
The one-armed Titan fell.
Simultaneously, the giant bear's body suddenly swelled, and a dull explosion cracked its massive form. Smoke and flames spread around.
Through the perspective of the two nearby Titans, the last image everyone saw was the one-armed Titan, back to the giant bear's fallen body, facing down, buried by the shattered body of the Honkai Emperor.
The other Honkai Emperors were also killed almost simultaneously.
The Honkai swarm suddenly stagnated, as if it had crashed. Then, they ran around aimlessly, screaming and flying chaotically in all directions.
The Titan Pilots regrouped and deployed their extremely solid and upright shields.
Although the Snow-type Honkai Beast Swarm without a target still frequently crashed into the shields, it was much better than the initial siege. The Titan Pilots no longer had to worry about their safety.
But everyone was silent, teeth gritted, feeling helpless.
"All units, obey orders. Do everything possible to fix yourselves on the ground. Your reinforcements have arrived."
Cocolia's strong order came just in time.
The next second, black spheres appeared in the sky, like black holes, rapidly attracting the crazy and chaotic swarm. The small Honkai beasts were drawn to the nearest sphere, stuck together with countless companions, squeezed, crushed, and died with sharp cries.
When the abnormal gravity subsided, the blizzard also dissipated. In the clear sky, over a dozen huge spheres composed of insect corpses floated, like small satellites rising from the ground.
A blonde girl holding a doll was suspended in the sky, her white windbreaker rustling in the wind.
She looked down with mechanical, soulless purple eyes at the giant bear corpse resembling a hill.
"Boom!"
The invisible force destroyed everything instantly, completely shattering the giant beast's body, sending countless fragments flying.
Then, the girl's figure disappeared.
However, the Titan Pilot Column paid no attention to this strange and terrifying little girl. Instead, they drove Titans with varying degrees of damage, flying to where the giant bear's corpse had disappeared.
A broken one-armed Titan lay on the ground, guarding a narrow but extremely stable safe space beneath it.
The pilots jumped out of their cockpits, gathered under the one-armed Titan, and worked together to drag the motionless Kella out.
Everyone could see that Kella's exoskeleton was covered with various impact scars, with several holes penetrated, clearly caused by the small Honkai beasts during the attack.
Kella's blood gushed from these holes, completely dyeing the dragging marks under her body red.
"Hurry up, dismantle the exoskeleton!"
"Medics are in place!"
"Captain, don't be afraid, it's okay!"
The team members took apart Kella's helmet and saw her pale face with messy hair.
"Cough!"
Kella coughed up blood and suddenly opened her eyes, ignoring the teammates around her. She turned her head to look at the broken Titan next to her.
"BT..."
The scene suddenly became quiet. Even those dismantling the exoskeleton tried not to make any noise, creating a quiet space for Kella and BT.
"Kella... zizi... I'm here... Are you... zizi... safe..."
"Ah, I'm safe."
"Kella... safe... Are you... Protocol Three... zizi... Protect the Pilot... zizi!"
"You've completed your agreement. It's an honor to fight alongside you... So, did you hear me?"
The one-armed Titan didn't respond again, lying silently like a solid steel sculpture.
Kella was speechless and slowly closed her eyes.
'Isn't the performance a bit too much? I see some Pilots are crying...'
'Well... let Kella keep her promise and wear cool black stockings to dance.'
'I'm sorry, fellow Pilots, this is not mainly for you to see, but for those who execute it.'
'Powerful performance, excellent intelligence, and absolute loyalty. These are the selling points of the Titan BT72. Although we don't plan to sell the puppets, it will only increase the risk. But with this capital, Cocolia will no longer face any resistance within Anti-Entropy and can calmly whitewash and transform her image.'
'Now, the pilot over there is really crying.'
'Keep calm, it will happen to them sooner or later. Facing dangerous and changeable Honkai disasters, we can't protect them intact every time, just get used to it in advance.'
Angies sighed with regret. Although they had expected it, they were not happy that the performance affected the audience they didn't want to affect.
