"Dude, I don't think it's a good idea. I mean, you can keep a secret from Eveline behind that cold demeanor, but I won't be able to stand her with a knife on my throat." Stefan voiced his concern with a lift of his hand.

"What do you mean I can keep a secret? Do you take me for someone who lies to Eveline?" Gabriel retaliated sharply, taking offense at Stefan's comment.

"When did I say that?!" Stefan spoke with a startled expression, but he soon composed himself and smiled mischievously.

"You do keep secrets from her, do you? Did you forget that all of the pictures and videos on your hard drive are of Eveline in her childhood and adult years? Furthermore, you still have not told her how you feel." Stefan said, making Gabriel's frown deeper.

"She already knows," Gabriel blurted out, leaving Stefan shocked, and he quickly rushed to his side like a curious child who had someone to enjoy talking to.
