 In the morning, when Adam came to breakfast with Emily, he broke the news to her that she was about to be crowned princess.

 " Princess?" There was a flash of surprise in Emily's eyes as she silently laid down the fork in her hand.

 " If this is my father's way of making it up to me, I don't think it's necessary." Emily said softly, " I am only my father's illegitimate daughter, not a princess in the true sense of the word. Besides, I never wanted to be a princess." 

 " But your child needs a legitimate identity." Adam looked at Emily with a calm gaze, " No matter who this baby's real father is, he is a member of the Wilson family and he will use the Wilson surname."

 Emily's eyes were downcast, as she thought it was time to come clean with Adam about the identity of the baby. So Emily lifted her head and she gathered her courage to say to Adam, "Actually, this baby's real father is—"
