บท 15: Chapter 15 Treatment
Emily sat quietly in the lounge, placing a sugar cube in a cup of black tea and gently stirring it with a small silver spoon until the sugar cube was completely dissolved in the tea. She didn't immediately pick up the cup to drink, but gazed at the ripples in the tea, which were slightly quivering.
Then the silence of the room was broken by the sound of the door opening. Emily looked up to see Klaus enter and sit silently opposite her.
Is there any bad news? Emily thought to herself.
"The doctor has given you a treatment plan, and if you cooperate with the treatment, your throat will soon return to normal," Klaus's voice was low and filled with mixed emotions. "Wait a moment, Dr. Stephen will tell you the details."
When she heard the news, Emily clasped her fingers tightly together, and her face betrayed an irrepressible excitement and joy.
"During this time, Marx will be in charge of transporting you to the hospital. Tell Marx if you need anything else." Klaus paused for a second, "I'll do my best to accommodate all your requests."
"Are you sure?" Emily looked at Klaus with raised eyebrows.
If I asked you to let me go, would you do it?
"Within reason," Klaus added.
Emily nodded to signal that she was okay, and she was now eager for the treatment to begin.
"Then you stay here, and when you're done, Marx will take you back to the hotel." Klaus stood up and, as he headed to the door, he looked back at Emily.
"Don't you have anything to say to me?"
Emily shook her head and gave him a curt nod, only to see the corners of Klaus's mouth twitch slightly as he left the room.
What was the matter with him? Emily thought to herself, as if he had something on his mind.
Emily didn't think about it much longer, though, for Dr. Stephen soon arrived in the break room, where he explained to Emily the details of the treatment plan and the dos and don'ts. Then Dr. Stephen took Emily to the treatment room for the treatment.
The whole process took about an hour, and once Emily had finished her treatment, Marx drove her back to her hotel.
"Luna, please let me know if you need anything," Marx said to Emily, standing outside her room door. "Or you can make a list for me."
That was when Emily remembered that Dr. Stephen had advised Emily to stay positive during her treatment and that he had suggested she learn to draw or keep a diary.
So Emily made a list of items to purchase based on the doctor's instructions, and she added something special.

At night, at the Blue Aurora,
Klaus was sitting in his VIP section with a few empty bottles on the table. Soon, the waiter returned with a few more bottles of whisky, which he set down before leaving.
Klaus drank glass after glass, and at that moment, his feelings were a tangled mess. Stephen's conversation with him in the morning still lingered in his mind, and his anger was almost at its peak when he learned that Emily wasn't a wolf because she had been deliberately injected with aconite poison.
He was convinced that the incident must be connected to her stepmother.
On the other hand, he was well aware that a Luna without her wolf form would not be accepted by the members of the pack, especially since she had no fighting power and could not lead the pack.
Klaus begged Stephen to help Emily regain her wolf form, no matter what method was required, but Stephen said the chances of success were very slim.
Even if he had kept it a secret from Dr. Stephen, the fact that Emily wasn't a wolf would be difficult to conceal once she returned to her pack.
This was not only detrimental to the stability of the wolf pack, but it also gave those with ulterior motives an opportunity to exploit the situation.
No, no one should be allowed to discover the secret, Klaus thought to himself.
That was when Marx came to see Klaus, reporting on the day's work.
"I've bought everything Luna needs, as she requested." Marx said.
"Did she go anywhere else today?" Klaus asked.
"No, Luna hasn't left her hotel room since she got back." Marx replied.
"I need you to do something." Klaus motioned for Marx to come closer.
So Marx leaned in, and he heard Klaus speak to him in a low but clear voice.
"I want you to investigate everything about Luna."
"Everything?"
"From all the information she's had since she was born, where she's lived, what friends she's had, who she's met, I want to know everything." Klaus added, "You can use the undercover agents we have in the South to assist you."
"But those undercover agents are only responsible for providing military intelligence from the south, and if they're allowed to intervene in this investigation, I'm afraid..."
"Do as I say." Klaus's tone was unequivocal.
"Yes." Marx said, "I'll get started now."
"Wait." Klaus stopped Marx, "What did Luna ask you to buy today?"
"Here's the shopping list." Marx pulled a list from his pocket and handed it to Klaus.
Klaus looked at the list of items and, in addition to the ordinary articles, there was one object that caught his eye.
"Maps?" Klaus asked. "What does she need a map for?"
"I don't know," Marx shrugged, "Luna didn't tell me why. I'm just responsible for doing what she asks."
It seemed she hadn't given up the idea of escaping.
Klaus crumpled up the list of purchases and threw it on the ground. Then he immediately put on his coat and went outside.
Klaus drove his Lamborghini back to the hotel, his hands on the steering wheel as he kept his eyes on the road ahead.
"Emily, I'll let you know who's in charge," Klaus said.
