บท 62: Chapter 62: Gathering the Invisibility Helmet with Laws, Gathering the Underworld Sword with Demon Stars

In the mythical world, the forging of divine artifacts is not something that can be done just because you want to. Without the inherent position of the artifact itself, no matter how hard you try, it is impossible to succeed.

This is the tragedy of the mythical world.

Fate!

These two words manifest vividly in the lives of the gods, in the existence of divine artifacts, and even in the mythical world itself. The Invisibility Helmet, the Trident, and the Thunderbolt.

These three artifacts, no less powerful than Chu Zhen's, are destined to be forged at the right time, with the right materials. Before that moment, they already exist in essence.

This is the saddest part of the mythical world. No matter how brilliant your life is, or how remarkable your experiences are, ultimately, you are just a puppet bound by fate. No matter how hard you struggle, the end result is already predetermined.

Every God-King strives against this. They all know the constraints of their fate and the inevitability of their end. But does this mean they should just give up?

For gods, breaking free from the shackles of fate is the only way to truly achieve rebirth. This is true for every god.

"Iapetos," Hades said quietly, "the battle of gods is very monotonous and simple. You and I are not skilled fighters, and you have lost."

Hades' voice was calm and indifferent, as if he was merely stating a fact.

And that is indeed the fact.

The battles of gods are like this unless they are skilled fighters. Otherwise, their battles are straightforward, competing in foundations, artifacts, and laws. If I am slightly better than you, then I am stronger. Do you think you can beat me by suddenly gaining strength? Impossible! That's something only a protagonist can do, and you are clearly not the protagonist.

Hades' words were simple. Unless Iapetos could bring out a stronger trump card, the outcome of this battle was already determined.

Strands of divine power.

Laws gathered around Hades, and in a short time, the Invisibility Helmet, which was previously a mere shadow, began to take solid form. As the divine power of the Invisibility Helmet erupted, the divine power of Chu Zhen's scissors was increasingly suppressed.

Artifacts of the same level, from the same master, cannot break each other's moves!

Iapetos remained silent, channeling more divine power into Chu Zhen's scissors and the Guardian Star, unleashing greater power. But as Hades said, being weak means being weak. No matter how hard you try, the result remains unchanged.

Being slightly weaker means a world of difference. Iapetos' divine power had transformed into a dazzling Milky Way, while across it were countless otherworldly dimensions, fully manifesting the laws of dimensions. Yet even at their peak, these laws could not counter Hades' onslaught.

"It's over," Hades said quietly.

Hades raised his hand, and demon stars began to gather in his palm. With the power of the Invisibility Helmet blocking Iapetos' attacks, everything he did was futile.

This was the inevitable result, but Iapetos was unwilling to end it this way, reluctant to reveal his true hidden card.

After all!

Iapetos knew that using such a card would have enormous repercussions. The Titan pantheon was still far from its peak, still striving to grow stronger. Led by Kronos, they all had their own goals—to surpass the constraints of fate, to surpass the mythical world's constraints, and truly become gods who control everything themselves.

For this, they have always been striving, and this path to success requires a long time. This is why the Titans seldom use their last resort.

Using it lightly could have significant consequences. Even if the Ancient Gods ignore it, other gods witnessing such danger might react strongly.

These considerations weighed on Iapetos' mind, yet he could do nothing to break the Invisibility Helmet's defense, despite pushing Chu Zhen's scissors to their limits.

"Why? Why?" Iapetos murmured. "Hades' divine power seems endless. Why is that?"

Even gods face the possibility of exhausting their divine power, especially in intense battles. If you can't replenish your power quickly, it will naturally deplete.

As one of the twelve Titan gods, Iapetos' foundation was incredibly deep. Even so, he felt his divine power nearly exhausted.

And yet?

Hades' divine power seemed infinite. The Invisibility Helmet, condensed from laws, easily blocked Iapetos' attacks, leaving him helpless.

Iapetos couldn't understand where Hades' endless power came from.

But!

Hades would not answer Iapetos. He had his reasons, but he wasn't a foolish villain who reveals all his weaknesses.

At the very least.

Hades would never do such a thing, and as demon stars gathered in his palm, a dark purple sword representing his status as the ruler of the underworld appeared. Formed by the convergence of one hundred and eight demon stars' power, Hades raised the sword and slashed down.
