Callum did not want to think about what he had done, but he knew he would have to face the consequences. He had followed a whim because Sterling was an anomaly in his world, and he wanted to teach him a lesson. 

Now, they were both royally screwed.

If the stories were to be trusted, Sterling would start craving his vampiric venom, desiring Callum to feed on him. And Callum would crave Sterling's blood in a targeted bloodlust. Nothing would ever taste as good as what he had just experienced. 

He would never forget it as long as he lived.

The situation was not exactly an addiction. It was worse. It was an endless emptiness that could only be cured through the continuous exchange of blood between the two of them. In an ideal world, they would be stuck in an immortal circle involving the rush of endorphins and serotonin.
