The sound of a hand hitting a face reverberated through the mansion, shattering the silence and causing all the workers to halt their tasks, their eyes fixed on the unfolding drama. 

Everyone was in muted horror as their young master slapped his best friend and grabbed his sister from his hands.

"What do you think the meaning of this is? What did you do to Suzie? I trusted you to be my friend and take care of Suzie whenever you could. And this is what you have to show me for it, Rocxx? Do our years of friendship mean nothing to you?"

Mark's mind was consumed with a relentless worry, a fear threatening to overpower him.

He had been calling Suzie non-stop to find out where she had disappeared.

Mark had dropped her off at the library, but she was not there when he went to pick her up a little early. Even her friend was not there.
