No one brought up the conversation about what happened. 

It should have been a good thing, but Rika felt her stomach churn at the anxiety she felt at not being appropriately addressed. She just wanted to justify what was happening and where this relationship was headed.

Emily reached out to pick Rika up, but Rika placed her hand on top of Emily's and pushed her hand down.

Her eyes were hesitant, but Rika gathered her courage to ask the question that had been plaguing her mind for some time.

"Emily, Dami, what is our relationship now? We used to be friends, but are we still friends? Or is it something more? I want an answer from you both regarding where we stand with each other."

Rika asked the question she had wanted to ask for some time.

Neither Emily nor Damian looked taken aback. They had been expecting this question for some time now.

Finally, Emily answered Rika's worries with a serene smile.
