Emily's smile looked scary. Rika felt that anything she said would be taken out of context.

So, she decided to keep quiet and let Emily draw her conclusions.

"I see! We can also play that game since you don't want to discuss it. I won't burden you to tell me what is going on in your life if you don't want to."

Emily said that, but her smile and expression showed different reactions. It made Rika nervous to stand in front of Emily in her current state, never mind telling her something or asking her for help.

Rika looked at the door nervously, now waiting for the doctor to enter the room and save her from this awkwardness.

If Emily had noticed this, she would not have shown or said anything about it. 

But Damian was the real reason for Rika's nervousness. His blank stare looked Rika right in the eye, making her nervous and agitated. She did not know what he wanted but knew that Damian was trying to tell her something.
