"Hey, I know I asked you this before, but where do you keep finding all these alphas to follow after you? And they are all such high-class alphas as well. I am a beta, but I can still smell and feel the pheromones these two have. It's making me shiver."

Daniel asked as soon as Rika settled Damian and Emily into a hidden corner where they wouldn't be visible.

She had also hoped that the smell of sweet flowers would mask their alpha scent, but it seemed to have an opposite effect than what Rika wanted.

"Don't pay too much attention to them. You've seen Daniel before. Like him, I've known Emily as a childhood friend. They are decent people who would not do anything bad."

Well, that was a big fat lie.
