บท 11: Chapter 11: Celestial Being

"So, aside from forgetting about the employment contract, you even start acting like some clingy boyfriend… Giotto… I expected more from you"

In a small apartment located in Brooklyn, Emma and Giotto were moving around boxes and suitcases into a white Chevrolet express. As they worked moving things, the two started to have some playful banter.

"Is that so? That wasn't what you told me last night though~"

Giotto shot back at Emma who blushed as she bumped Giotto who was not affected much. Standing his ground Giotto simply laughed as Emma continued to try and hurt him, unfortunately all of these actions did nothing but make Giotto laugh louder.

Emma and Giotto now looked like a couple and although the neighborhood Emma lived in was quite expensive that did not stop some gossip hungry people.

In fact, Giotto noticed a few sneaky journalists taking photos.

Giotto wanted to act, but he did not want to show off, at least for now.

Because of this Giotto and Emma picked up all of Emma's belongings and moved them to a luxury penthouse located in Manhattan's financial district.

Emma was shocked to learn about Giotto owning a bunch of luxurious and expensive properties and high value stocks. At first she did not believe him but when Giotto brought her to the VIP penthouse she started to believe him.

"By the way this is not on lease-"

Seeing Emma's expression Giotto said smugly as he handed Emma a folder filled with paperwork.

Opening the folder and viewing the files, Emma could not help but look at Giotto shocked as she read the documents.

"You… you do understand that having sex after meeting someone is not too out of the norm right?"

Emma asked as she read the paper, to her question Giotto did not say anything and just smiled as a look of expectation flashed in his eyes.

"Haa~ god! Of all the people I could have gotten entangled with, I had to meet a real life Bruce Wayne!"

The words she spoke made Giotto laugh as he pulled her into his arms as he moved his face closer to Emma's.

"Is there something wrong with being a real life Bruce Wayne?"

Giotto whispered into Emma's ears as he savored the warmth he felt from embracing her.

"Well then, let me be the Selina Kyle to your Bruce Wayne, the Catwoman to your Bat-man~"

Emma responded teasingly before grabbing Giotto' head and initiating a deep kiss.

The two played around a bit, making a few expensive pieces of furniture and decorations fall on the ground and break. Neither of them cared though as they ended up on the couch, Emma, still fully clothed, sat atop Giotto who was also fully clothed.

Staring deeply into each other's eyes, the two lovebirds smiled as they ended their small game with a long cuddle.

As they lay on the couch tightly entwined in each other's embrace, Emma locked eyes with Giotto as she spoke.

"I thought you were like everyone else… but we had more things in common than I thought"

Hearing her words, Giotto chuckled as he responded in a teasing tone.

"Isn't that bad? People say that opposites attract so having a lot in common is a sign of a short relationship is it not?"

Emma upon hearing Giotto's response scoffed as she responded in a slightly angry tone of voice.

"That's just a myth, most long lasting relationships are born from shared interest, from having common grounds. Being on opposite ends will only cause conflict- this is why most relationships fail because people believe that they need to be attracted to people who they don't have anything in common with!"

Seeing as Emma was quite into the topic, Giotto gave her a disbelieving look as he answered in a helpless tone of voice.

"So? Where is the source of your data? You can't give conclusions and generalizations without basis now can you? I believe the secretary I hired was smart enough to know this"

His words caused Emma to let out a soft "hmph!" as she replied.

"Why should I care about data? I didn't even meet your secretary yet… Now that I think about it, maybe you have bad eyes. The secretary you hired did not show up or even called you. Really now, for all your bravado you showed no results."

Giotto upon hearing Emma's response smiled as he tightened his embrace before answering Emma, whispering amorously into her ears-

"Yeah, I specifically informed my secretary that one of the most important tasks of the position was to get to know my wife, after all my dear beloved wive's words are my own!"

Giotto's words made Emma pause as she stared into the young man's eyes with a venomous light as she asked.

"Wives?"

To her question Giotto only feigned ignorance as he answered.

"Did I say wiVEs? I mean, my wiFE's- English is just so difficult sometimes. Why does "v" and "f" need to sound so similar to each other?"

With that the two love birds continued their game of word plays and teasing. Giotto forgot all about his problems and so did Emma. They enjoyed each other's company deep into the night. Of course, they did not do anything too sexual.

The first experience last night was enough for the two idiots. After one whole night of lovemaking, the two broke each other's barriers and had an easier time communicating.

Now, they prefer to enjoy each other's company, be it through simple skinship, deep or light hearted talks and even some simple foreplay and kissing.

The two lonely individuals finally found solace in each other's company. But nothing lasts forever, as the day turned to night, two invisible figures silently entered the underground parking lot of the apartment complex.

"This… I never thought something like this could really exist in reality…"

Emma whispered as she followed Giotto, he brought her to an empty parking space, then Giotto pressed a switch which caused the space in front of them to fluctuate before revealing a black GranTurismo.

"Cloaking technology, one of my inventions, well tonight I will show you what kind of power you will be helping me manage"

Giotto explained as he led Emma into the vehicle, as the two sat inside the GranTurismo, Emma asked as she looked at the highly modified interior of the car.

"You really trust me don't you?"

Her words stopped Giotto's actions, he then turned to her as he answered her question with a soft smile.

"If not you, who do I trust? Babe, you already know 50% of my secrets, you obtained superhuman abilities. Tell me, do you deserve my trust or not?"

Emma paused for a moment before sighing as she asked in response.

"But shouldn't you still be wary? I mean- even superman gets mind controlled and depowered every other issue…"

Giotto held back his laughter when he heard Emma's response as he answered her question.

"Emma- if you betray me or become subject to mind control or the like. I promise you this, one I'll torture and kill the person who made you do such things and two, after everything is said and done, I will make sure to "PUNISH" you appropriately"

His answer was both serious and playful, this caused Emma to turn critical as she gave Giotto a serious stare as she shouted back at him.

"I'M BEING SERIOUS HERE! WHAT IF SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS TO YOU?! WHAT IF SOMEONE USES ME TO KILL YOU?!"

Her response made Giotto feel a rush of warmth envelop his heart, but he suppressed his desire to relish the feeling as he pulled Emma in gently. He kissed her forehead before replying-

"And that is why I love you"

His response left Emma stunned speechless, a deep red blush appearing on her cheeks as she turned her head away.

After this, things quieted down as Giotto drove the GranTurismo towards his main safehouse, ensuring that no one was following them. The night was bright and lively but Giotto found various roadways that were empty allowing him to use his cloaking technology to disappear periodically.

Through his long, winding and camouflage supported driving. Not a single person was able to trace or find out where the mysterious black GranTurismo was going.

It took Giotto and Emma a good 2 hours to get to the safe house at Staten Island.

Arriving at the safehouse, the large doors opened allowing Giotto to drive the GranTurismo into the heavily modified warehouse.

As the GranTurismo disappeared into the warehouse, the lights inside lit up revealing an amazing scene that Emma could not believe was real.

Various futuristic robots, machinery and even computers were positioned strategically all over the large warehouse.

On the other hand Giotto exited the driver's seat as he opened Emma's door for her, he extended his hand towards the shocked beauty as he spoke-

"Welcome to the garage laboratory/HQ of the Vongola!"

Emma marveled at the scene before her, on the outside the warehouse looked like a normal storage warehouse. It was nestled in a private compound with lazy guards who were, most of the time, asleep.

The area was not the best place to keep anything important and yet, before Emma was a plethora of highly futuristic objects. A production line with robotic arms building various parts she did not know what their purpose was. But she could see the assembly line that produced three main items.

"Solar panels, drones and robots?"

Emma asked as she looked at the three lines of completed products.

The robots were lined up like soldiers waiting for orders, drones were stored together in rows of shelving while the solar panels were piled up neatly and securely arranged in rows of shelving.

Half of the large warehouse space was a fabrication area, with production and assembly lines while the other half was all storage.

The space in the production and fabrication space was wide and had a lot of legroom, but the storage area was very cramped.

"It's amazing and all but why can't you expand this warehouse or purchase another for storage?"

Emma's question made Giotto pause, he gave Emma a perplexed look as he replied-

"You know I expected you to understand, expanding the warehouse would grab attention, hiring workers would risk exposing my secrets. Doing it myself is possible but do you honestly think no one would notice the change? Moreover, buying another warehouse, no matter how close it is would still risk exposition during transfer"

To his words though, Emma answered as she explained why she believed her thoughts possible.

"You have cloaking technology, you could use it to transport your robots, drones and solar panels from one warehouse to another. It's literally just a few meters away. Also- how self-conscious could you be to think that every action of yours is being monitored by someone?"

Hearing her words, Giotto smiled as he walked towards an empty spot in the warehouse. He stood there and waved at Emma to come towards him.

Curious Emma came to Giotto who hugged her waist tightly.

"You! This is not the time for that!"

She lectured Giotto but the young man answered with a laugh as he replied.

"I know, but this is fire safety reasons"

Giotto's words made Emma pause as she asked.

"Safety reasons?"

Before she could wrap her head around Giotto's words, the young man smiled and as he did she suddenly felt her feet lose contact with the ground.

She tried to look down but Giotto picked her chin up as he stared deeply into her eyes.

Before she could say anything the gravity that seemed to have stopped for a few seconds returned as they fell into the ground. A hole had actually appeared below their feet which is why Emma lost the feeling of the ground.

Giotto did not immediately let them fall as he used sky flames to propel them slightly. He did not let Emma look down and as he tried to calm her down, Giotto had a playful thought as he suddenly canceled his flames.

The sudden acceleration caused Emma to scream which echoed as they slid down the hole. After they disappeared into the hole, the floor shifted silently and the hole disappeared like it didn't even exist in the first place.

After a few minutes of sliding, Emma and Giotto landed in an underground city. The place was bustling with activity as various white robots flew around the building, fixing and working on various constructs and builds.

Initially Emma was going to lecture Giotto on shocking her the way he did. But upon witnessing the vast underground city her words got stuck in her throat.

She forgot all about her shameful scream and instead marveled at the city before her.

Giotto upon seeing her reaction smiled as he did a theatrical spin before her. He then posed in a similarly theatrical manner as he welcomed her.

"Welcome to the heart of my organization, Celestial Being"
