STELLA’s POV
I squeezed my eyes shut as I heard dad’s voice before he died, telling me how much he loved me. I think dad knew that Aunt Lucy killed him because he seemed like he wanted to tell me something before he died.
My feet moved on their own and I was lucky that a cab just stopped in front of me. I knew where I was heading and was too angry to care. Rage pumped in my veins as I slammed the car door shut.
After everything I’ve lived with, I had never felt such a white-hot fury. It was like all my suppressed rage and hatred had finally burst through the cracking dam along with all of my memories that I tried so hard to hide.
Tears fell down my cheeks, but I didn’t care to wipe them away.
