As soon as Riley left the room, my mind started racing. I had to find a way out for both me and Tommy. The warehouse was eerily quiet, the only sound being Tommy's soft whimpers. I glanced around, trying to make sense of our surroundings.
The walls were concrete, and there were no windows, just a single door through which Riley and the others had come and gone.
"Tommy," I whispered, my voice trembling but determined. "We need to get out of here. Do you think you can help me untie these ropes?"
Tommy nodded, his eyes wide with fear but glimmering with hope. "I'll try," he said, his voice shaky.
I turned my back towards him as much as I could, feeling the rough ropes digging into my wrists. "Just try to pull at the knots," I instructed, keeping my voice as calm as possible. "We can do this."
