They have ample supplies and don't need to go outside to exchange for anything. If it weren't for the fact that the park is the greatest danger and they wanted to stay as far from it as possible, they wouldn't have followed these NPCs here.

However, just because they were here didn't mean they intended to mingle among the crowd of refugees. The hopeful expanse of the wilderness was so vast that they were certain they could find a suitable hiding place for just the two of them.

Indeed, they could. Not far from the right side of the village, there was a patch of woods. The leaves in the trees were covered with volcanic ash, and the ground was overgrown with weeds and shrubs.

The two of them wandered around the forest and found an open area, resembling a well. The surrounding trees conveniently blocked the view from outside. The clearing was just a bit larger than their vehicle.

After clearing away the weeds and shrubs on the ground, the area appeared to be quite nice.
