Ciara's POV
"That ungrateful fucker!" Vulcan muttered under his breath, his cutlery clattering against his plate as he stared off into the distance, lost in thought.
I had forgotten about the meal in front of me, my gaze fixed on Vulcan's reaction. Did he truly love Ariana that much, and was that why he was reacting this way to her disappearance and potential infidelity?
Minutes passed as I slowly resumed eating with the others, while Vulcan remained unshaken, his eyes unwavering from some unseen point.
When he finally spoke, his tone was commanding, and he directed it at me, halting the fork laden with beef that was halfway to my mouth. "Follow me," he ordered. Before I could process his words, he made me remove the food from my mouth, saying, "Spit it out." He opened his palm for it.
Hey everyone, I just wanted to take a moment to talk to you about something that's been on my mind. I recently got a comment saying that the storyline is feeling a bit dragged out and another commenting on its sadistic aspect. Although that's the theme intended for the book, it honestly broke my heart to hear that. I'm so sorry if you're feeling that way - I know how frustrating it can be to feel like a story is moving too slowly or too dark.
I want you to know that I'm listening, and I'm committed to making it better. I know that getting to know the characters and their motivations is important, but I also don't want it to feel overwhelming or boring. I promise to work harder to strike a balance and keep the story moving at a pace that feels exciting and engaging for you.
Thank you for sticking with me, even when things get slow. Your patience and loyalty mean everything to me. Let's keep going on this journey together!
And please don't feel discouraged or hesitant talk to me about your thoughts and how you feel at any point. I'm always listening. Without your support, I can't move forward. Please accept my apologies. This author is sorry.
