บท 35: Chapter 35: Too much of a coincidence II

Charlton smiled and nodded as the host of the party welcomed him and Larissa. He did not want to attend but it was only Larissa's second Season, and he wanted her to enjoy as much as she can while they were still in the capital. Yes, he has not proposed to her yet despite his resolve almost 3 weeks ago, but it was because the ring he has asked to be custom made was not yet ready.

The countess led Larissa by the women's side of the ballroom while the Count tried to engage Charlton in a conversation. Charlton was acquainted with Count Isias, but they were not from the same circles, so they had nothing much to talk about. That aside, the Count was the host, so he was also busy entertaining other guests.

Anyhow, arriving at the male side of the ballroom, Charlton was immediately greeted with a warm welcome. Though he has already made his stance to not engage much in politics, many were still trying to gain his connection.
