บท 60: Choosing A Side.

The man stood tall atop a jutted cliff, watching over the green glades that spread out forward, a vast landscape that would have made humans rejoice if they should somehow discover it. His eyes crinkled upon a rather flamboyant bird that would perch on a tree branch, sing for some minutes before flying around only to repeat the act. A happy dance for a mate, he would term it. Because somewhere within another branch a few trees from the one the bird perched on, was also another bird of same kind.

His mouth began to stretch into a half smile that didn't quite reach his eyes, it seemed rather sad and called out to pity, like a man who had the weight of the whole world upon his shoulders whereas he would have preferred to dance like the bird, for his woman who would always be waiting for him.
