บท 126: Osip Minsky becomes the general manager
"Wow. Hahaha! So you mean to say that a person like me who has never stepped in Polkok should not be the general manager of Whiddiff construction company just because I have never gone through hardships at one time? What makes you think that you are better than me?" Alexandre asked. He gripped a cup by his side and gulped down the water from it. It was just a week ago that Virtya put a poster at the city square and at the business classes. This poster was advertising the vacancy position for the general manager of Whiddiff construction company and truthfully, this post had stirred a controversial among the nobles because they knew the weight of this position after Bogdan Falin took the seat of the general manager of Pollow cement, therefore, the nobles sent their promising kids to apply for this job and it was not just the nobles alone as some students at the business class took this opportunity to apply.
The applicants were many which made the vetting to take stages whereby the most useless junk was eliminated first and those who chanced to reach the final stage were vetted by the high officers including Bogdan and Alexandre.
Osip paused for a moment before he smiled and answered,
"Of course, going through hardships can not elevate me to the position of the general manager. I think this position is for me because I am the most qualified. From the records, it could clearly be seen that I am the best civil engineer that Azuhai kingdom has. In addition, when it comes to business management, I am the third best person from the business class that Azuhai kingdom has. The best person from the business class is sir Bogdan Falin who is already the general manager of Pollow cement while the second best person didn't apply for this position, thus, here we come." Osip's smile widened.
When Alexandre thought deeply, what Osip had said was the truth. Virtya had wanted to give this position to that second best person from the business class but that person refused saying that he was not ready for this role but the eyes of that fellow showed that the guy was expecting something big not just a mere position at the construction company.
"Congratulations Mr Osip Minsky. You will be the general manager of Whiddiff construction company." Alexandre confirmed. After all, it had already been decided that this position would go to Osip Minsky if he applied and this interview was just to see if Osip was really capable but it turned out that he was excellent.
"Yes!" Osip stood up and stared at the wall before he shouted,
"Yeah!" He turned around and stared at the interviewers and grinned.
He walked towards the opened door and stood beside it as he shook the hands of the interviewers who were exiting from the room.
"I have high hopes for you. We will be together most of the times but don't expect that you will outshine me when it comes to generating large profits between our companies. I will always be better than you." Bogdan said to Osip expressionlessly.
"We shall see. Don't think that being better than me in the business class means that you will be the best manager as compared to me. I will make sure my company becomes the most profitable." Osip answered with a smile as he shook Bogdan's chubby hand.
Lastly it was time for Alexandre to shake Osip's hand.
"Buddy, we have worked together before. I expected much from you." Alexandre said.
After walking out of the room, Alexandre headed to Virtya's office while Osip headed to where his fellows who applied for this job were.
It could be seen that there were close to fifty individuals who reached to this stage and all of them failed the interview except for Osip. Some of them were from the business class while most of them were sons and daughters of the nobles. These sons and daughters of the nobles climbed up to this stage by bribing their way up but they failed to bribe the higher officers.
Osip was to choose among them whom he was going to work with.

"That punk took the role." Alexandre said to Virtya before he closed the door behind him.
