บท 80: Back then (b)
After all, unlike Virtya, king Markov was a very very ambitious fella and that was why he came up with historical features like Chanya and the blacksmithing guild.
Additionally, king Markov had wanted to conquer the kingdom of Magyo because he was very jealous about their wealth and the minerals but he failed miserably before he quickly came up with a way to solve this problem and it could be seen that Markov was forced to give the most valuable part of Azuhai that neighboured the Magyo kingdom, so that he could save his position as the king of Azuhai.
Though this was painful, Markov had to grit his teeth and bargain in this deal even if he knew that he was not in the position to bargain and that was how he managed to get Catalina Brisbois to be betrothed to Virtya when he was still a toddler so that Markov could be sure that Azuhai would not fall in the future.
Unfortunately, Markov was assassinated by Brisbois a long time ago which forced Virtya's predecessor to take the throne at a younger age but Brisbois was not satisfied and he also tried to poison Virtya's predecessor but he failed because it was Virtya who reincarnated after his predecessor died.
Currently, Brisbois was trying to also assassinate Virtya just like how he assassinated king Markov but will he be successful this time round?
Meanwhile, after Virtya got a change of clothes, he walked towards the dining table and sat beside his sister who was the only person at the dining table.
"Why are you not eating? The food will be cold if you don't dig in right now." Virtya pinched his sister's cheek making her to grimace. He then sat comfortably on his chair and scooped some food with a silver spoon and placed it in his sister's plate.
"I want you to grow fat, you are so skinny you know."
"You are the one who is scrawny. I don't want to become fat. Another thing... Don't pinch me again or I will slap your face. You left Catalina alone in Whiten instead of coming here with her so that you can pinch her whenever you like, why did you do that?" Galina asked. Then, while using the fork, she picked up a piece of meat and placed it into her plate before she cut it into four pieces and picked one of the pieces and put it into her mouth.
Using the spoon, Virtya scooped some rice and put it into his mouth. One should know that even if Virtya didn't plant rice, this didn't mean that other farmers in Azuhai didn't plant this crop on their favourable lands, not to mention that the Litkesh kingdom was known to be the largest producer of rice and wheat in the entire Southern continent, thus, Whiddiff palace could buy rice from Litkesh kingdom if there was scarcity of rice in Azuhai.
While chewing, Virtya turned and faced his sister. He stared at her intently and saw that Galina was still the same, she hadn't changed. It was only her feminity that had grown.
Actually, Virtya was older than Galina by a year but when one looked at the two, they would think that they were of the same age or they were twins.
"Well... Catalina is trouble. I feel like I will become fat if I don't see her face very often. I don't like her..." Virtya paused for a moment and his eyes glued at the person who was coming towards the table. She was of course, Tanya and she had changed into another suit. However, just as usual, what Tanya wore had hidden her beauty underneath as Virtya could not see her perfectly shaped curves well which made him disappointed but he was happy with Tanya beside him.
Virtya smiled sheepishly and when he wanted to stand up so that he could offer his seat to Tanya, his sister pulled him back which made him to frown as he glared at her.
"What?" Virtya asked his sister.
"That is Tanya, she is not Catalina."
Just like that, Virtya, Tanya, Galina and Alexandre ate supper together while the knights ate at the several tables around Virtya's table.
Alexandre had asked for another round of wine which made him too intoxicated that he didn't even ate much as he grinned from ear to ear while telling the crew a lot of lies. He had offered the others to share with him the wine but they refused which forced him to share it with a random knight.
