Daemon, after plowing through a few flights of stairs, arrived on the twentieth floor. He took a moment to orient himself, before walking past a few rooms.

He watched the number go from 2001 to 2009 before stopping. He raised an eyebrow at the door that was not properly closed, and was thinking about whether to knock or enter directly when he heard voices from inside.

More than one female voice radiating joy and excitement.

"You look so beautiful in the robe."

He recognized Jane's voice, and the one she was talking to should be his soon-to-be fiancee. She indeed looked radiant in the robe she had chosen.

A slight smile appeared on his face.

"I can't believe Cynthia is about to take this step before the rest of us."

Kelly's voice was full of envy despite the smile it contained.
