บท 15: Chapter 15

"Use the Sudarshana Chakra on them!" Indra commanded sternly.

Upon hearing this, Vishnu's handsome face showed a trace of hesitation. His gaze swept over the assembled Asuras, and he seemed to struggle with the decision, letting out a long sigh.

"Isn't that a bit extreme?" Vishnu asked.

Killing hundreds of thousands of Asuras just like that—how could that be acceptable?

"It's not extreme at all!" Indra shook his head.

"As warriors, they are not at fault, but these Asuras assist Kumbhakarna in ruling the world with greed, acting in defiance of righteous conduct!"

"Moreover, Kumbhakarna alone can suppress many gods. If these Asuras are killed, he might go back to reproduce and strengthen his forces!"

At this, the other gods felt enlightened and began to support the idea.

"Yes, if the Lord could eliminate these Asuras, that would be great!"

"The heavens would be stable! The mortal world would be peaceful!"

"What a brilliant plan, truly worthy of the king of the gods!"

Indeed, these Asuras were not as strong as Kumbhakarna.

A small portion of them were on par with the gods, but the majority were on the level of Gandharvas, ordinary minor gods.

If Vishnu acted now and wiped out these Asura armies, Kumbhakarna's victory would be meaningless.

Hearing this, Vishnu lowered his head and pondered, his face reflecting deep thought.

This seemed to make a lot of sense!

He never particularly liked the Asuras anyway, as they were descendants of Brahma and not his followers, so he had little affection for them.

Now, hearing this, his heart stirred.

But immediately he realized this was not something to do at this moment.

This was the Krita Yuga, the age of perfection, where life thrived and everything flourished, destined to last 1,728,000 years.

If he truly killed most of the Asuras, the resulting karmic energy would disrupt this age, akin to the world skipping a developmental stage, rushing from its infancy straight into its middle and late years.

If he did this, he would be entangled in karma, and Shiva might intervene to stop him.

This couldn't be done!

Vishnu thought this over and shook his head firmly.

"???"

Seeing this, Indra was somewhat disappointed.

He had hoped to see rivers of blood!

In the Mahabharata, the age of perfection had long passed. Vishnu himself descended as Krishna, directly inciting the great war between the Pandavas and the Kauravas, where 1.6 billion warriors gathered on the fields of Kurukshetra and slaughtered each other.

At that time, Krishna had urged Arjuna to fight, saying those who defy dharma should be killed.

Kill, kill, kill!

As a result, the two sides fought until the fields of Kurukshetra were soaked in blood!

"!!!"

Sukra, the sage, couldn't help but gasp.

Indra was truly ruthless!

The gods and Asuras were both descendants of Kashyapa. Indra wanting Vishnu to kill most of these Asuras, regardless of success, was already a heartless thought.

Truly terrifying!

"Teacher, what should we do now?" Vajra, another Asura and son of Kashyapa, turned to Sukra.

They were warlike but not foolish!

Each of the Trimurti stood with the gods. If Vishnu acted, they would be doomed.

Sukra's eyes darkened, contemplating as he glanced at Kumbhakarna.

At that moment, Kumbhakarna was extremely enraged, glaring at Vishnu, seemingly ready to attack.

"If they fight and Vishnu finds the weakness in Kumbhakarna's blessing, that would be bad!" Sukra thought.

He stepped forward, flying to Kumbhakarna's side, and addressed Vishnu.

"I propose a temporary truce to churn the ocean and restore the strength of both gods and Asuras," Sukra suggested.

Hearing this, Kumbhakarna immediately glared angrily at Sukra, staring him down.

Sukra, with a cold, hard expression, stared back.

Kumbhakarna squinted, snorted coldly, and turned away without speaking.

"Agreed," Vishnu nodded slightly, his body radiating golden light before he disappeared.

Sukra breathed a sigh of relief.

He had feared Vishnu would intervene directly. Vishnu was known as the Asura-slayer; hundreds of Asuras had died by his Sudarshana Chakra. Sukra's enmity with Vishnu was due to Vishnu's relentless killing of Asuras.

Turning his gaze to the gods, Sukra saw their discomfort with his cold, hard expression.

Surya, the sun god, looked away at the dark waves of the ocean; Agni, the fire god, glanced around uneasily, avoiding eye contact; Vayu, the wind god, watched Sukra cautiously; and Varuna, the water god, stared at the ground.

Indra, however, looked curiously at Sukra.

If he remembered correctly.

In the future, Sukra would gain a spell to resurrect Asuras by rigorously meditating on Shiva, using it to counter the gods who possessed amrita.

No matter how many times the Asura kings failed, Sukra would guide them to attack the gods.

This old fellow was quite capable!

In comparison, the preceptor of the gods seemed less effective in fighting Asuras?

However, the preceptor had a very close relationship with Indra, almost like best friends.

Sukra and Indra exchanged glances, their eyes meeting in the void.

Finally, Sukra looked at the preceptor of the gods.

He snorted coldly, looked away, and turned to Kumbhakarna, saying, "Indra is not easy to deal with. Be careful."

Kumbhakarna laughed arrogantly.

"Don't worry!"

"My blessing is invincible. Not just a mere Indra, even the Trimurti can't touch a hair on my head."

Kumbhakarna's tone was extremely arrogant.

Hmph!

Hearing this, Sukra snorted coldly.

"You are too arrogant. You will die by their hands eventually!"

With that, Sukra decided not to speak further, focusing on protecting the remaining Asuras.

Since Vishnu was already involved, Lakshmi couldn't be taken!

It was best to aim for the amrita.

As he pondered this, the ocean suddenly surged with waves, and giant golden wings spread across the sky. The glittering wings skimmed the ocean as many Gandharva warriors stood on the back of a great Garuda, armed with divine spears and bows, watching from afar.

"The divine army has arrived!" Indra announced, but his heart did not relax.

After churning the ocean for treasures, there was still a great battle between the Asuras and the gods, which was extremely dangerous.

And not to mention the deadly poison that would emerge from the ocean—Halahala.

"We must stay vigilant!" Indra thought.
