บท 9: Hear not, I shall have you. Ch.9

Lilium Kingdom was established by the three great families. The house of Corvus was one of them. They're responsible for handling financial and economic growth of the kingdom, making them one of the riches family in the continent. Next up,The house of Leo, the most influential out of the three houses. They are the royalty of the kingdom, they have control over the whole military power and state affairs. Finally, the house of Ophis, they seek for all kinds of knowledge and wisdom.They invest a lot in to reasearching about magic and the education systems, as well as, health's security are mainly handled by them. So when things like this happen, they come in and take care of it.

"Lord Hedera." Irene greeted the red haired man.

"Irene! It's unexpected to see you here." Hedera smiled at her.

Lord Hedera Ophis, a male lead candidate, he's a noble blood from the house of Ophis, and a genius alchemist at the Viscum Academy. He's a total flirt, and all female students flaunt over his beauty.

"You guys know each other?" Galium questioned them.

"Yes actually, We've met at the Academy a couple times, and Irene helped me with my research! I wished she would have become my assistant, but what a shame, she's already carrying out her service here at the Corvus house." Hedera spoke with gloominess.

Galium, on the other hand, look irritated…

"And I am grateful for the offer, Lord Hedera." Irene answered was unwavered.

He laughed- "Hahaha! As expected from you." He looked pleased with that rejection too. What a creepy guy..

He continued-" Not only that, I heard from sir Galium that you've killed this wyvern? You're not just gonna be, Irene, The blooming witch anymore. You're soon to be titled the wyvern slayer too, wouldn't you haha!

As for how she earned that nickname, the blooming witch, Rumors from the boys at the academy said when Irene Briar walked past them through the hallways, they saw flowers blooming around her. At least I know now that I'm not the only one seeing it.

"Oh and behind you must be.. Miss Kannavis." He finally took noticed of my presence. At the academy , we don't seem to confront each other often, but we mutually understand that our energies don't match each other.

"Greetings, sir Hedera." I said.

"Yes Greetings to you too, my lady, I've heard that you were attacked by the wyvern? Are you alright? My greatest regards to you."

" Yes, I'm fine now thanks to elixir that the Ophis house have provided with."

"Oh, it is our duty to be of service after all." He said proudly, what he meant was if it wasn't for us, the house of Ophis, you lots would have died.

"Right, you were going back in, weren't you? It's freezing out here, so don't let me keep you here any longer."

As we began to walk inside, one of Hedera men came out to informed him about something.

"Oh?" Hedera said. Then began to turn and looked at Irene with a concerned look on his face.

"…? Is something the matter?" Galium asked.

"…My intelligence said that this wyvern.. came from the Euphrasia forest.."

"What.." Galium was confused.

Euphrasia forest, located south-west to the Lilium Kingdom. The Lilium Kingdom occupied a quarter of the continent land in the east and the forest land is comparable to one third of the Lilium Kingdom, making it one of the largest forest in the Autumn lands. It is homed to many magical creatures, and there are lots of dungeons appeared in the forest.

Eventhough, it is full of magical beasts, most of them stayed in the forest; especially a mythical beast like a wyvern. They are territorial creature, so most likely they won't leave their place… unless they were challenged and were defeated, or perhaps… someone brought them out of their will.

"Mmm isn't the Teulia stationed at the border of Euphrasia too?" Hedera spoke out loud.

This ticked off Galium.

"Aren't the knights of Teulia was famous for how they are on scale comparable to the royal knights?"

Hedera while his eyes scanned around, his arm crossed on his chest and the other placed under his chin. He's trying to poke around at us, isn't he?

"Oh, I'm not trying to justify this situation, but if words get out that a wyvern escaped while it was guarded by the Teulias..I've feared it would cause a bit of a..predicament for the Corvus house, wouldn't it.." Right uh huh, you're saying the knights of our house is just all talked and we can't even keep one wyvern at bay.

Galium tightened his grips, his eyebrows started to frown in to each other, his gazed at Hedera was saying he wanted to start beating up the guy right there, but he holds in.

".. It seemed our knights haven't received enough training.. More over, there wasn't any reports about a wyvern escaping the forest, so it must have been an error on our parts, I sincerely apologize on behalf of the Teulia and the Corvus.We'll conduct a thorough investigation later and make sure they will never happen again." Galium then bowed to Hedera. But he wasn't finished.

"Oh no you shouldn't apologize to me. A mistake was made, and that was that. I'm just concerned for the well-being of your people, like ..." ! He turned to look at Irene again.

"Irene, don't you think you're wasting your potential as a maid? plus it's a bit dangerous out here. Now, why don't you come to serve at our house instead, you'll be receiving teachings from me personally, and if you want, you can still do all these works-"

Galium grabbed Hedera by the collars all of sudden, Ophis men immediately started to point their wands at Galium, and our House's knights started to point their spears at Hedera. Everybody was riled up, and Galium still hadn't let go of his collars.

Hedera raised one of his hand, telling his men to put down their weapons.

"I'm sorry about what happened, but we can take care of our people. This incident was a matter of fact our fault, but I can not let you come in here, and tries to steal our people away from us."

Galium was furious, his tone was normal but his hand was still on Hedera's collars.

Hedera looked a bit agitated, but he knew that he had stepped over a line. He pulled away from Galium and started to adjust back his suit-

"Ah you're right, it was impolite of me to do that. Let us perform our duty right away and take the wyvern away for you. The wyvern has an immense value, so I hope the compensation you'll be receiveing is to your satisfactions."

Then, they began to move the wyvern, and the suffocating atmosphere seems to died down a bit.

That's a male lead for ya, Galium is already a nuisance, but this guy is way worse. In the game, he became an obsessive stalker who couldn't even face Irene properly. On top of that, in the story line where he didn't get picked, he literally kidnap her and tried to turn her in to a syltherine! the prince finds out and almost got him executed, but Irene asked the prince to spare him, so he was banished…

Isn't he almost as bad as the villainess? Okay which one of my co-worker wrote this? We need to talk.

Irene brought me back inside to help clean me up. As we were walking back to my room, I noticed that Irene looked a bit out of place.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"Ah- it's nothing,my lady. I am probably just a bit tired." She said that but her expression was still looking a bit grimmed.

"Is that so? Then you go and rest, I'll let another maid help me washed up."

"Wait no, it's alright. Please, let me do it. Plus you're probably gonna scared them away if they see you all bloody like this, my lady."

Hmm she's right, I already got a bad reputation of being a villain, if any more people see this, they would probably think I committed a mass murder or somthing.

"Mmm okay. Then you go rest, I'll just do this myself."

She instantly grabbed me and looked me in the eyes with a begging gazed.

" Please.. you said you'll listen to my request, let me perform my duty, my lady."

Sh*t she remembers about that in the woods….I sighed

"F-fine..", I can't refused. a promise is a promise...

As we arrived at the bathing room, I began to take off my dirtied night gown while she started to prepared the bath.

"Please closed your eyes."

"Does it matter, my lady?" She said but her eyes were already closed as I requested.

"Just do it!" Really I always have to be grumpy with her..

I get in the bathtub and sunk my body deep into the water.

She looked unfazed as she opened her eyes. She definitely feels nothing about this, right?so why am I blushing like crazy right now?

I began to washed the bloodstained of my body.

"My lady, there are some parts on your back, let me help you."

She then began to pull up her sleeves, and tied her hair back into a bun. She applied some body foams on the scrunchy and slowly scratches my back.

It was okay at first, but then she used her other hand to get a hold of me, her touch was cold that it sends a bit of shockwave all over my body.. tickles..

After washing my back, she helped shampoo my hair. Oh… this is like at the salon.. it's starting to feel very nice… her hands were deep inside my hair, massaging my scalp. I began to relaxed for the first time when I'm around her, she then continued to massage my shoulders.

"Ohh.. that's really… great." I closed my eyes and feel to the rhythm of her hands on my back. Its movement was so in sync with my body that at the moment my whole self were in her very palms. She began moving her hand along my hair down to the back of my neck, then onto my shoulders.. the hands, they continued to slowly moved along my shoulder blades.. then finally backing up to my necks, her thumb on my lower lip, lifting my head upward facing the sky position… huh

I opened my eyes and saw her, leaning in very close to my face. Wait.. what's happening?
